As always, I went for ONE thing and ultimately ended up with half of a cart full of stuff that I found and thought that I needed. When I went to check out, the line was unbelievable. Probably 8 people in line to check out. There was one cashier on the register. There was one person in the office. And there was one person in health and beauty aisle stocking products. I waited to see if they were going to open another register and they never did so I left my buggy of stuff and left the store. I did not have time to sit there and wait that long. This is frustrating to me when you think about all the people who can't find work or get hired because of some out dated standard. And I hear this conversation and think "what an irresponsible,ingrate..." I hope for the sake of this employees future sense of responsibility this wasn't habitual. I've worked retail myself some decades ago, I felt like clocking myself in and just taking over, and helping any way I could. Hell, I'd even volunteer if corporate protocols would allow...
