The Atmosphere could have used some more upbeat country music or some classic Mexican music like Mariachi, Rancheros or like Vincente Fernández and other classics I ordered the combination Enchilada, Tamale 🫔, shredded Beef Taco 🌮, Arroz and beans, and hot tea ☕️ I ordered extra rice and beans, but the cook didn't give me extra rice they just spread the rice thinner on my plate to try to make it look like more, but the rice wasn't very good anyway. The rice was watery like it was put in a steamer to warm after it had been sitting and it had no flavor, it could have used some Caldo de Tomate, lime, and black pepper. The Enchilada sauce had no flavor it also could have used some more Chile Powder, Caldo de Tomate, sautéed onion and garlic, or at least onion and garlic powder or salt 🧂 and. The Enchilada had no cheese or sauce inside it was just bland dry chicken. The Tamale maza was not firm it appeared to have been steamed in water like the rice and was a bit mushy. The Taco 🌮 needed more lettuce and tomatoes 🍅 and it didn't have any cheese in it and the beef was not Flavored, it could have used some Caldo de Rez, black pepper, onions, and garlic. The taco shell tasted like it was stale and cooked in seafood oil The Enchilada and Taco corn tortillas taste like they were warmed on the grill after seafood was cooked on it if this were true and there was someone with a seafood allergy they could have gone into anaphylactic shock and died, this would have resulted in a lawsuit. The bean dip that came with the chips was good but there wasn't enough, the regular refried beans need to be flavored like the bean dip. I had to ask for more hot water for my tea because it wasn't brought with the tea. My husband's seafood taco shells were so stale he scraped the inside out because he couldn't chew the taco shell. I was not impressed and yes I know Mexican food my grandmother came from Mexico, and my mother cooked Mexican food every day, I can cook Mexican food, but I thought I'd take a break and treat myself but I would have been better off staying home and cooking myself and not have an upset...

This was a hard review to write. I've been to this restaurant twice in the past couple of weeks, both times with friends from out of town. Usually I take visitors to Jalisco's down the street because the food is great and the people are really nice. But when this place opened I thought I should give it a try. The restaurant is really nice inside, nice atmosphere beautiful building. The first time I went, there was staff everywhere! We had three different people ask us what we wanted to drink! It was nice to have so many people to help us. The food however, gets a mixed review. I got a BLT and it was pretty forgettable. My friends said they're Mexican dishes were okay. The second time I went, we waited 15 minutes before anyone asked us what we wanted to drink or anything. The food was okay at best, and one of my friends didn't get everything she ordered. I got the barbecue burger, and the "barbecue " consisted of a small swirl of some packaged barbecue sauce I think. It really wasn't very good.

For what you get, the food is really overpriced in my opinion.

I'll keep going to...

Ate here for the first time tonight what a mistake. Called in an order to go. We ordered the enmolandos and the French toast breakfast. I had to wait about 5-10 minutes for my order after I got there when they said it would only take 10-15 minutes and I live about 5 minutes away drive time and I didn't leave right away after putting in my order. I went straight home and all of our food was cold. The French toast was cold and scary like no crispness to them and no powdered sugar, they gave alot of tiny butters but one tiny syrup and the hashbrowns were still partially frozen, i was shorted on my bacon and it seemed to be pre-cooked microwaved and lazor thin, and the scrambled eggs were thin and rubbery like they were fake or liquid eggs. The mole on the other dishes was extremely sweet like they took Ranchero sauce and mixed it with chocolate syrup, there wasn't any cheese in my tacos, the beans were cold and liquidity (the little bit I got) , and the rice was bland and cold. They did give us chips but no salsa. All of this for a few cents under $30....

Six months ago, I gave this restaurant a good rating. I thought it was heading in the right direction, but unfortunately, I’ve had to change my mind. My last visit was an experience I wouldn’t repeat—unless you’re looking for a funny, yet sad story about how not to serve food. To start, the Ranch looked more like a light white-colored soup. Not even in my wildest creative moments would I think to dilute dressing like that. It was as if the bottle of Ranch had cried a few tears at the bottom and they mixed it with tap water. Now, the wings… People say crispy is good—but this was something else. These weren’t just toasted; they were practically archaeological relics of charcoal. You bite into one and feel like you’re chewing on history. The beans for the tostadas were another sad poem. A very sad one. They tasted so confusing you didn’t know if they were beans or a blend of all the leftovers from the day before. Like a flavor roulette gone wrong. And to top it off, the tostadas themselves… Oh boy. If they make them in-house, the oil must be so old it probably remembers the good old days of the ’90s. If not, they’re clearly Walmart bag tostadas, opened days ago and long past their prime. I hate to say it, but instead of getting better, this place is going backwards. I truly hope they can get back on track, because the people of Evanston deserve better. ⸻

I’m going to give 5 stars but wish I could do 6. Ordered the sizzling fajitas, steak and chicken, and they were absolutely bomb. They crushed it with the taste, the tortillas were really great also. Great taste, nice sized bell pepper slices, as well as onions. My pops got the breakfast sandwich which yes, I get it fajitas and across the way breakfast?! Yes. But they crush it!! I was told the sandwich was really good, and he’s the one who makes breakfast sandwiches at home. I will say, the bread could look a little better than easy store bought, but he thought it was fine. The chips and salsa and queso was really good and they made sure we had our drinks refilled. Came on a little fall leaf drive from Utah, and we’re super pleased. I was skeptical of the name but it slaps and I would highly recommend.

We were visiting from out of state and liked the variety of what this place had to offer. You can get Mexican, breakfast, sandwiches, burgers...so many choices. We ended up getting breakfast. The breakfast was good enough, but the hashbrowns were a bit bland. It was not any more special than what you'd get at a Denny's, but more expensive. They offered us some chips, salsa, and bean dip which were delicious. The atmosphere was cool, with a country feel fit for Wyoming. I think there's a bar on the other side of the building, but we didn't go in there. The bathroom is tiny and not handicap accessible. The staff were quiet but friendly. Overall it was a good place to stop for lunch.
