A Top-Notch BBQ Caterer for Large Events I have had the pleasure of experiencing the catering services of Dang Good Smokehouse & BBQ on multiple occasions. They have provided BBQ for a large events of 250+ guests. From start to finish, it was clear that this team knows how to deliver excellence on every level.

Service: The service was impeccable. The team arrived ahead of schedule, setting up with efficiency and minimal disruption. Throughout the event, they were attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that everyone had exactly what they needed. The staff’s professionalism was evident, and their friendly demeanor created a warm, welcoming atmosphere for all the guests.

Food: The BBQ—simply outstanding. The BBQ was smoky, tender, and full of flavor, with a perfect balance of spice and sweetness in every bite. The meats were cooked to perfection—brisket that melted in your mouth, the smoked turkey and ham was a crowd favorite at Thanksgiving time. But it wasn’t just the meats that impressed; the sides were equally exceptional. The mac and cheese was creamy, the cowboy beans were tasty, and the deserts were delicious. Even in large quantities, every dish was crafted with care, and it was clear that quality ingredients were at the forefront.

Menu: The menu was versatile, offering something for everyone. From classic BBQ favorites to more unique options, there was a great selection that allowed guests to customize their plates to their liking. Special dietary preferences were also thoughtfully considered, with options available for those who required vegetarian or gluten-free choices. The caterer’s attention to detail in this regard did not go unnoticed and was much appreciated by guests with specific needs. Overall, Dang Good Smokehouse and BBQ made the event a standout success. The combination of superb food, excellent service, and a well-curated menu made it an unforgettable experience for all involved. If you’re planning a large event and want to impress your guests with amazing BBQ, I highly recommend them. They truly know how to cater to a crowd with style and flavor!

They even braved horrendous blizzard conditions to make sure they delivered the...

We arrived having never eaten at this establishment. It was a great atmosphere.

We were seated and immediately asked if we knew what we wanted to eat and proceeded to ask for a few minutes to look at the menu. Immediately after, a different waitress came to ask us if we knew what we wanted. I again, asked for a couple minutes to review the menu. The first waitress came back and took our order shortly after.

After waiting for just over 30 minutes, the first waitress stopped at our table and told us that we were supposed to pay up front. I was confused and asked if we were supposed to pay before we ate. She was alarmed that we had not received our food and quickly went to talk to someone in the kitchen.

As she was discussing with the kitchen, the second, different waitress came and said the same thing, that we could pay up front. I told her the same thing that we had not received our food yet. She went to talk to the kitchen as well. It was obvious that we had been forgotten for the last half hour.

About 20 minutes later, we received our first item from the menu. We were pretty hungry at this point and ate most of this plate without waiting for our whole meal. We pretty much finished this plate before the next plate had even arrived. When it finally did, the meal was different temperatures, a cold, hard roll, somewhat warm pork, and warm brisket. After picking through this, the Mac and cheese came very last.

Overall, it was an unpleasant experience for our family. Decent food, unorganized and chaotic service. I was hoping that I would get my meal comped or some sort of deal due to a poor dining experience taking over an hour but that was not the case. Wishing I would...

I haven't had home cooked style BBQ food from a Hole in the Wall Restaurant in quite some time! This rustic looking house may not look like a 5 star restaurant on the outside, but on the inside it's very welcoming and cozy. The young lady originally took my order over the phone in advance, as I was traveling from California. She was very polite and patient with my order. They were in the middle of serving a wedding and not all of the menu was available due to running out of supplies. Upon arrival my food was hot and ready to go as promised. She neatly placed all the utensils and necessary condiments for my meal in a bag. Everything from the seasoning, the sauce and down to cooking the meal was done in great care and perfection. I immediately knew after having one bite that she took great pride in her cooking and presentation of the food. Every detail had been carefully selected and crafted. My entire meal was homemade and it was some of the best BBQ food I have had. Thank you very much for offering your humble services. My only disappointment was my side servings of macaroni & cheese and jalapeno beans, it was far too tiny and I felt like I had been given a free sample from Costco. My meal consisted of pulled pork, sliced brisket, french fries, smoked macaroni & cheese, jalapeno beans and a dinner roll. Extremely Delicious! I can't wait for my next travel when I pass by because I'm going to order four times as much macaroni & cheese and jalapeno beans. If you are in the area or passing by, this restaurant is definitely worth going out of your way to stop by for some classic good home cooking BBQ food. Come taste...

3/17/23 We had the fried cat fish, T bone steak, pork ribs, baked potatoes and jalapeño beans. Everything was really good, even the baked beans! Everything tasted like it was truly homemade! The flavor of the meat is smoked and seasoned Southwest style, steak was cooked true to order not over cooked like most places do. The catfish was breaded perfectly, the fish was so light & buttery, very good, quality meal all around. Unassuming exterior, humble diner/local restaurant interior, filled with locals. I would not recommend this place if you are a vegetarian, vegan or looking for a fresh mixed greens spinach salad wrap. This is a “sticks to your ribs” kind of place. Portions are large so bring your appetite!

Two Valentine’s Day meals for 127.75. This was by far the worst experience. My husband and I didn’t even get to eat together because our food came out 30 mins apart and he was done eating before my plate came. The potato was gigantic with a tiny piece of prime rib , burnt toast without butter and dessert to go (I feel like I paid for a $50 potato! My plate was 30 mins late so my husband and I couldn’t even eat valentines dinner together, although my catfish was good. There was 4 waitresses and 12 tables and the full menu was premade/preset where ya had 3 different choices! Get it together people. There wasn’t even salt and pepper on the table. I wanted to walk out, terrible experience

I really enjoyed having a nice lunch at this rustic family owed country BBQ restaurant. According to locals they are know for their fried catfish, brisket, and ribs. I can confirm that the fried catfish comes in large portions and is perfectly crispy on the outside and delicate and flaky on the inside, I would definitely order it again. The brisket is also delicious with a sweet and tangy homemade sauce and the mac and cheese is homemade. The staff is very friendly and welcomed me to sit at wherever table or booth I liked. I will definitely be sure to stop by here again even if I’m just passing though.
