Kipplee's — Restaurant in Evansville

My husband, our 2 young kids, and I went for dinner tonight. I was hesitant to agree because it can very quickly get a bit expensive. We got a combo basket, some dough dogs, and a bucket of waffle fries to share. Our combo basket was disappointing. We had only about 3 little pieces of the fried cauliflower in it and the potato bites weren't completely done. The server took the basket back and brought it bank a few minutes later saying it was fixed. I'm not sure what the cooks in the back were thinking, but they literally refried the same stuff and tossed it back in the basket. I was less than happy. The manager was absolutely perfect though. She came to us right away, apologized but didn't try to make a bunch of excuses, then asked us how we would like to remedy the issue. She took the basket off the bills and we got something else instead (which she didn't charge us for either). I was thoroughly impressed with how she handled it. It was a positive change from other restaurants we've visited lately. I would have put 5 stars, but the basket being messed up in the first place knocked one off. I'm sure they'll earn it back next time we go though! We rarely have a bad experience...

Establishment was clean. Bathroom was small. Food tasted like cardboard. Tables were not big or roomie. Not an ideal place for a disabled person with a wheelchair. Kids in the bar area. Service was slow. The beers for others kept coming but waited forever for our food to get served. I was not drinking but others in the group were. It was loud. Waitress didn't take much mind to us and there were several of us. Pizza was horrible and hard. The crust was minimal as well as the sauce. It wasn't very big either. I have been here twice and each time I have gotten horrible service and nasty food. I do not recommend this establishment. There are better places to go to for a pizza. It makes Turonis sound like Wonderland. I would go somewhere else. To recommend it would be embarrassing! You are only paid attention to if you are going up to the bar an ordering a drink. Otherwise, forget your soda and your order of pizza, which was cold when served. The group waited over 30...

I had the WORSE EXPERIENCE at KIPPLEE’S ON 6/11/24. They deserve ZERO STARS!! I called to place an order over the phone for a Kipplee’s burger. I was told the wait will be 30 mins. I arrive 35 mins later and my order still wasn’t ready. Then while I was waiting 2 different females both opened up a plastic bag and placed their fingers in the container to see if the item was a burger. No one placed my name on the order. Sure enough that was my order. I didn’t appreciate 2 different peoples fingers in my food. Who knows if they had clean hands or not??? I ate the Kipplee burger and couple hours later I started to get sick. I know that burger gave me food poisoning. I was sick for 2 days!!! KIPLEE’S has definitely went down hill!! Also with new ownership, it’s the WORSE EVER!! Plus no one has a clue on what is going on in that place. I DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND EATING AT...
