I can’t recommend this restaurant. Here’s our issue: ordered online for a 3:10pm pickup. That’s what the app says… It will be ready for pick up at 3:10 PM arrived at 3:12. Ordered had not been started. ordered cole slaw, no cole slaw. Ok, fries. no thighs in spicy. Ok, mild. No mild. Ok breasts. they completed my order and then asked me if I wanted any sauce. I asked for sweet heat and honey mustard. No honey mustard. OK I finally left the restaurant at 3:27 PM.
When we returned home, we discovered the chicken was not flavorful at all because it was dark. This chicken must’ve either been overcooked, sat out too long or been re-dipped in grease to heat it back up again. The crust had a burnt flavor and overall, the chicken did not taste well at all. We do think it was re-dipped because it was pretty greasy.
The staff was friendly but the store was obviously poorly run. At one point, I heard the manager ask why I was waiting and the server and the manager bantered back-and-forth about how the manager didn’t like customers waiting. Well, that’s a management problem. If someone does an online order, the order should be ready at the designated pick up time. Additionally, the manager should always make sure that the chicken is fresh and that there are no shortages.
Overall, this was a negative experience for us so at this juncture, I would recommend you choose another Popeyes restaurant with...
Read moreI visited this Popeye's last night for dinner. I ordered two of the 2 pc white breast meal with mashed potatoes, a biscuit, and Cole slaw. The cashier was super nice and he was assisted by the manager because I think he was in training. It was still a super smooth transaction. Our meal was hot and ready. We also got the $3.99 deal so it was super cheap. I think our bill for two totaled $11.00. We were surprised at how cheap it was and was prepared to spend more like $20.00. I didn't care for the Cole slaw and it is nothing like KFC's. It tasted like it had pickles in it and I didn't much care for it. The rest of the meal was perfect for fast food dining. We hadn't eaten there before so I really don't have another experience there to compare it to. The facility was clean, people were wearing their masks, and the drive thru was hopping pretty good. There was only one other patron in the establishment when we first arrived then 2-3 people showed up inside for their meals. Overall, I've got to say that I was impressed with Popeye's last night. The manager or shift leader seemed to really care about training their what seemed to be a new employee. She was patient with him and guided him through the process, which helped us out. It is nice to see this. I will return to Popeye's in the future. It was not my first pick but I have no issues with going...
Read moreI was in a hurry. Was. I had over half an hour to spare, but now I have more and time for a review. I was hoping for something fast so that I could run and get a haircut before I picked my kid so I could look presentable for an event tomorrow. Popeyes was across the street and has decent chicken so I that is where I went. Service started great they took my money and told me to pull forward so that they could get the order together and service the next individual. Cool. Then it became uncool. It took 27 minutes before someone came out... Still with no food. She said the manager was gone... I am not sure what that even means. Is the manager cooking? Is the manager responsible for running the food out? Can we not function in the slightest without the manager? Three more minutes elapsed to make it a round 30 minute wait before the chicken was had. No time for a haircut now. Going to the restaurant turned out to be a poot decision for more than just my waist line. Worker took my receipt and didn't return it so I don't have proof of negligence. This staff needs reworked. Once food was received I got no spoon for the mashed potatoes, no napkins, and one piece of chicken was half inedible. As awful and inexcusable as my experience was I feel like I should contact the corporate office so they can know who is tarnishing...
