Updated on review: To a restaurant that I use to give a 5 star I am now giving it a 1 star and here is why. I've been going there often over the past couple of years and I use to love going there but as it seems to be either new management has taken over or just lack of care because the food quality has gone down, the portion size has gone down significantly and the prices have about doubled in the past 4 years. This place used to be a favorite of mine however I do NOT recommend going there and I will not be going there myself anymore until some changes are made. Also the food is rarely all stocked and does not look like it is being stored or handled properly. A chicken bowl with a drink is over $14 and the bowl was barely half filled! Their bowl size has decreased and they have switched to smaller bowls since before the pandemic which, if that is due to financial struggles thats fine but whatever size you end up using for your restaurant make sure to fill them appropriately. Nothing is more frustrating to people then feeling that you got ripped off or scammed on a purchase and lately that is the feeling I get ever time I have gone there in the past couple of months. I gave them plenty of opportunities before writing this to see if it was just a one time fluke but this has been a...

very disappointed. i usually love it here. I ordered online and it said my order would be ready in 30 minutes. I waited and left at that said time (in fact running a little late) and they didn’t even start my order. When i walked in they weren’t doing anything. It was not busy and they were just talking amongst each other. No greeting at all. As someone who manages a store that’s a big no. When i came up to other tell them about my order they said to give them 5 minutes. They were going to mess up the vegetarian order when they started making it and put shrimp on it.... when i saw i mentioned something. They picked it off. Not to mention, when ordering online i selected the no shrimp option and among other toppings. Then they continually asked me what i wanted. When i finally got my order, there was no apology for just starting my online order. If i wanted to come in and order i would’ve. Normally, I don’t mind a restaurant messing up an order or being late to process the order, but it all comes down to customer service which this place lacks. I don’t plan on...

Unnnnnnnnnnbelievable!!!! I can not rave enough about the Mexican Marachi Grill ! From walking in ! I was stunned ! There is so much culture here; from the walls to the setup of the restaurant , to the music. I really feel like I am in Mexico ! 🇲🇽

Looking at all the food options Nicho the manager , told me,I highly recommend to try BIRRIA! You will love it ! Mucho!

Boy was he right ! The slow roasted beef was marinated in the most genuine Mexican flavors I ever had in my life. From the first bite to the last, in combination with red onions , cilantro ; I couldn’t stop! Then to top it off ; the complementary consume for the perfect finish to bring all the Mexican flavor together! Perfection !

Of course with my meal I enjoyed nice cold jarrtios ; mandarin flavor.

I highly recommend this restaurant! If you are looking for true Mexican cuisine then look no further than the Mexican Marachi Grill!

I can’t wait to bring my girlfriend and friends here! I’ll be back...

*Update 4/27/2023* - Food as improved, not many people in line like before. However, they still charge for extra sour cream while giving us small amount of sour cream. Good place to get food. Before it was really good but now it's kinda okay. Recently it was slightly crowded & there were online orders. They were rushing when they cook. When I took my meal (Quesadilla) home to eat, I noticed there was way too much cheese, little bit of sour cream and the flour tortillas (I think that's what it's called) was so soggy. I was not satisfied but it was still ok (so so). I don't know what's been going on lately with this restaurant at TCNJ & the other one on parkway ave. This isn't the first time I have experienced this. I hope next time they don't rush and make sure the food is not so soggy with so much cheese and little sour cream. Even so, it's still a good place to get food. You may or may not enjoy it, but give it a try and see for yourself.

About 2 weeks ago we ordered 3 chicken salad bowls and a chicken quesadilla. The bill was about $45. You have options for including rice and black beans or pinto beans. We didn't ask about veggies nor did we see any. We chose chicken and various salsas like pico a hot salsa salsa verde and a cilantro onion mix. There is also a choice of mozzarella. Grated cheese and maybe a parm. Jalapeños. Guacamole is extra pineapple pieces sour cream and more. The portions are relatively small and the chicken freshly heated was rubbery and hard and most pieces were baby size bites. The quesadilla had a nice char flavor and came with rice and beans and salsa. The staff was friendly. Many upcharges posted on glass of serving area. Bags of chips are extra now too. Portions small.
