I used to go here nearly every week, but not any more. Some of the sellers are now pricing their items according to what similar items are listed for on eBay (LISTED for, not SOLD for - there is a difference). I've had them show me active listings on their phone and say "this is what it is going for, etc". If you want to get eBay prices in a flea market in Exeter, PA, then you need to list that item on eBay and wait for the right buyer to come along. People in other parts of the country who make A LOT OF MONEY might actually pay those prices! There are just too many other flea markets in our area to waste the time stopping in here. ALSO: BEWARE of the newer lady seller on the shoppes side (straight ahead as you walk thru the doors). Be careful of what you buy in there. (She also sells products online). I paid her $35 for a vintage perfume set that she said was NEW and when I got it home the sprayer did not work. Must have been why she had the box taped up so I couldn't check the item...
Read moreUsed to look forward to going too this flea market every Sunday with my mother as a kid & up until recently been going as an adult. I remember when they even had second building across from the first one you could explore in the vendors were very friendly with reasonable prices. But I had a few rough experiences one too many to go back ever again I'm aware prices are crazy down right ridiculous now a days. But some of the vendors are asking Ebay prices when I can just go on Ebay & find that same item in better condition for the same price. If its not for the one vendor on the right side of the building asking $80 for a PS1 "just the console no cords or controller included" & he isn't even sure if it works. Too the vendors on the left side with their knock off game stop trying to hustle you into buying their items its just extremely rude not saying not to give theses vendors business but just to be aware of what your buying...
Read moreThis was an interesting experience for me. The shops that have their own rooms are nice and reasonably priced. The open space with the leaky roof is where the action is. A lot of things seemed to be wet and everyone was trying to charge top dollar for used and sometimes water damaged items. Maybe the rent for the space is high but I'd expect somewhat of a mark down at a flea market. $100 for an original xbox with no cables games or controllers? lol it better be modded and dispense beer. and oh gee a house phone from 2 decades ago. $15 what a deal! Anyway, it was great for laughs and I did find a few things at a reasonable price but I did literally have to dig through junk to find it. Not bad to stop by when the outdoor flea markets are rained out, just don't expect to be...
