After the nasty experience I had this morning, I will never be back again. As someone born and raised in NEPA, I came back home this weekend to visit a friend so on the way out, my boyfriend and I decided to stop in for some breakfast. I’ve visited Donut Connection multiple times and never had any issues. However, this time was different. As soon as we entered the store, we felt the animosity the worker and 2 other patrons had for us. We approached the counter where we received no greeting or acknowledgment. I even said “good morning” with a smile to ease the apparent (but unexplained) tension to which she did not respond. Nevertheless, we ordered while being scowled at by the woman behind the counter. The only time she spoke during this entire interaction was when she asked us, with a sour attitude and almost rolling her eyes, if this was “to go, for here or what?” At this point it became very clear that for whatever reason, we were not welcome here. We told her never mind about our food, left the store and drove home confused & disgusted.
I’ve worked customer service before and I understand people can have bad days, but this instance felt very personal. We did nothing wrong and were nothing but nice despite her clear dislike of us from the moment we walked in. I don’t know if it was because of our age, skin color, or otherwise how we looked/dressed - but it is unacceptable to treat someone differently because of your own personal biases or beliefs. The whole experience was extremely off-putting and certainly left a bad taste...
Read moreI have never had an issue with another store like I have with this donut connection. At 1st the lady who was in the drive thru kept correcting me on the names of the doughnuts like I'm supposed to know all of the names because I work there but I don't work there I own my own business. Then I asked her for a very specific order very easy 80% hot chocolate, 20% milk. Not a very hard order to mess up, But somehow she put in 80% milk and 20% hot chocolate. I go to eat my donut and it is entirely different from the donut that I had gotten 6 times ihe past 4 days prior. When I went to the manager to ask her why it was so different she said well some people like it dryer and some people don't so we make them different while some people like it cheaper and some people like it don't so maybe you should make the dryer onces dollar. And the loaded ones $4. I am willing to pay an exorbitant amount for. Everybody needs a new training program at this place because no one is on the same page and I am very very unhappy I live 2 blocks away I come here every day but you won't catch me coming here again ever I will drive all the way...
Read moreI had a uber eat order C4EB5,when I went to pick it up the entire order was not in the bag. Around September 1 , 8:50-8:56 the lady working there(no name tag). Gave me an attitude because I asked her to put gloves on while preparing the missed items of my order. She use the paper to place the crossiant in the toaster(which is ok) and then pushed it in with her bare hand. When I said "hey do you mind putting a glove on,I dont feel comfortable with you touching my bread. She said "miss I didnt touch your bread, why are you being so difficult?" Then she went on to talk about the situation in front of my face to the other employee and customer. When I said miss it a covid pandemic I'm trying to protect my family. She said dont talk to me about covid and family,my mother just died from covid." Rude, unsanitary service, her face mask was also dirty and she represent Donut connections. The person taking payments should not prepare food or wash hands after each...
