Jalapeño Grill & Fresh Bagel — Restaurant in Exeter

UPDATE 01/22/2025: I walked in at 8:05PM, the girl at the counter was ready to take my order but since I’ve had issues with my tacos (they run low on tortillas) I asked her if they were ok on tortillas (since my husband and I were both going to order tacos), she went to the kitchen to ask, when she came back out she told me that they weren’t taking any more orders (they close at 9PM) funny because she was about to take my order 4 mins ago. She said that they were closing at 8:30, it was 8:10 when she came back. I don’t know if it’s because I used to work there and the cook feels some type of way, but if you are on the clock you are required to give a service unless they have passed a rule that they can’t serve me or serve me whatever they want (since that’s what they did the last 2 times). 2 tortilla tacos, 1 tortilla tacos, 0 tacos 🥹

EDIT: The past two times I’ve come here I’ve ordered their carnitas tacos. But I have been getting ONE tortilla (yet I’ve ordered prior to these two times and it’s double tortilla), today I asked the girl (she was sweet) if the way they make their tacos had changed and she went to check, she came back and told me that the reason I got ONE tortilla is because they were running out of them ! Hmmm, so coincidentally the two times I have come THEY’VE BEEN RUNNING OUT OF TORTILLAS, I mean if I’m paying FULL PRICE for what I order I should get a FULL order NOT A PARTIAL ONE. Besides this, the girl at the counter was amazing ☺️

Edit So after ordering about 5 times so far, I've dropped my initial rating to reflect my experiences. On all 5 orders, the pricing has been inconsistent/different EVERY time. Three of the orders, extras that were paid for were missing/not included. I was informed that someone new bought the business, so prices were increased/changed. Still the staff remains friendly and inviting.

I ordered the Huevos a la mexicana burrito. I asked for NO meat for clarification but they also left out the eggs 🥲 My burrito was still flavorful as it contained beans, cheese, avocado, onions and homefries. The bagels are great. Still fairly new establishment and the girls in the front are still learning so be patient 😊 Overall good experience. Will be back to try...

We ordered the chorizo Beef Burrito and the Chicken Enchiladas ( verde sauce). Wow!!! The Burrito was packed with the meats, rice, beans and veggies and wrapped in a thin and tender tortilla. Amazing! The Enchiladas were the best I ever had. My platter came with rice and beans that were incredibly delicious. Fluffy tasty rice and savory beans. They nailed it!
