They really should post that you need 6 people to eat hibachi, that was a wasted drive. There is a BIG difference between hibachi and dining, I say the price should remain lunch prices for dining, as with hibachi you sometimes get extra food, the show, etc.
They weren't rude to us, but the guy working sushi, and the man trying to seat us absolutely said we could only get hibachi with 6 people. The day I actually get my friends to drive all the way down to this restaurant, we will all tip $1, that way, they can always use it to help them count how many people they served :)
But seriously, what's the difference? Either way you're cleaning a grill, you're serving food... for $20 a plate, plus drinks, plus tip, plus if we ordered sushi... hibachi is usually our celebratory dinner and we spend about $70.
With this kind of marketing, it's no wonder you guys had almost no business! Not ONE hibachi grill was on, that's insane. Look at Stix, I am sitting out here right now waiting for my name, they're packed. My friends work, they have kids, constantly busy...if this is just for tipping reasons I hope you take a page from Stix service, copy and frame it.
I hope you change your policies, as I'd like to try you out, but again, I worked hibachi and I can tell you, there is a BIG difference between dining and hibachi. The one reason, most of all being, your food cools as it sits and waits for the waiter to bring it to you, it's a fresher taste to eat it straight...
Read moreI am not normally the type to leave reviews but this place STUNNED me. I had the New York strip hibachi with onion soup and ginger salad and despite the fact that it was a ton of food I ate every bite. The soup had an amazing flavor and came out with the salad, which had crunchy fresh lettuce and the perfect amount of dressing, within 3 minutes of ordering. Everything came out with perfect timing and was perfectly cooked and prepared; the steak was the perfect temperature (I ordered it medium which is kind of hard to do right when it is cut into cubes the way it is but their chef got it just right!) and had a beautiful smoky grilled flavor. The veggies and rice were perfectly cooked and tasted amazing with the yum-yum sauce. My boyfriend had the Boston, soft shell crab, and Out of Control rolls and all three of those were delightful as well, with fresh tasting fish and the perfect amount of sauces. Our server was also friendly, kind, and kept the meal perfectly paced but didn’t hover which we LOVE at a restaurant. Overall we were completely satisfied with our meals and left full and happy and ready to go back again soon! This was definitely in the top 10 meals I...
Read moreUpdate: Friday 06 DEC 2024 visit. We came back down from bham to visit family. Tokyo was our first stop. As per usual they did not disappoint. We got our usual "surf and turf" roll and gyoza. But decided to try a few new things. The "Olivia wraps"(appetizer) are amazing. Must try. "Sesame tuna"(appetizer), amazing. "Mount Fuji" roll rocked. "Asian fusion" roll.
This place is awesome. Every time we visit family we typically come here twice. Have even visited two days in a row. This trip we will be coming back Sunday.
It was so good we went for dinner two nights in a row. Highly recommend the surf and turf roll. Our server was phenomenal. Every roll we had was great. Can't say enough good things. We will dine here again when visiting family.
Today we came back into town. We ordered 3 rolls we have tried before. Ocean roll, twister, and jubilee. Did not disappoint. We also ordered our old favorite surf and turf. Never...
