I went with my sister and niece and grand nephew. It was VERY GOOD FOOD!!! AND SERVICE WAS AMAZING!!! Thank you ALL for the experience!!!
My sister and I went just the other day. In fact it was this past Thursday, October 20, 2022. It was just my sister and myself, we had a sister date. When we went in to the restaurant it was really busy. We wasn't sure was going to have to wait long or not. So when The Host ask us how many and he said that it would be about 5-10 minutes that have a table ready. It wasn't I don't even think 5 minutes and we were being seated. And our server came she was so busy. But she gave us the best service and we could ask for with how busy she was. She went Way beyond our expectations on a server. Katie was so awesome. The owner for the restaurant, he is usually always out in the front talking to the customers and making sure everything is to their liking. And even if the end when we were done and getting ready to go our server had to punch out on the clock cuz we were her last customers. And we decided we would like another shot. So she brought in another server. I serve her she was okay but I guess we were already spoiled to Katie LOL. Anyway our server new server had a really good attitude about that's calling back and having to order a couple other things. My niece called and wanted something so we had to make another order. And the server we had then was was very serving. Now as far as the atmosphere it was really good. You got like four five six TVs going with different sports and also you have the radio going. Depending on where you sit is what you hear. We heard the radio most of the time but we also heard the humming of all the people around talking. Which was fine. Okay seating was pretty good we like where they set us. Now if you like to they will sit you outside especially if it's a pretty day or evening or even night. In fact we normally sit outside but it was a bit chilly for us that night. Just want to thank my sister, Danny, Katie and all that was involved making this event happen we thoroughly...
Read moreWent last night for dinner and it was awful. Server Enrique wasnât rude or anything but also didnât seem so care all that much.
Fajita Texano was overpriced, greasy and questionable meat quality
Fajita quesadilla was in a pool of grease, slimy and not good at all
We ordered chorizo queso as an appetizer because it looked good on menu; picture was a bowl of queso with fresh jalapeĂąo slices and chorizo on topâ this could not be further from what we were served.
First off, the appetizer came ten minutes after our food came, I suspect server forgot to ring it in after initially being the one to suggest the choriqueso, as when I asked about it he rushed to the computer. When it finally did arrive after we were halfway done eating, it was no longer wanted and was absolutely disgusting. First off, it had clearly been microwaved and was watery and tasteless white sauce with what looked like dog food stirred in. It was so bad, and didnât at all resemble queso or chorizo. We didnât try more than two chips dipped in it because it was not edible. When closing out, the server asked if Iâd like a to-go bowl for the uneaten chorizo queso and I explained to him why it was bad and we didnât eat it, I showed how it was like watery and soupy and the heat was inconsistent like it had been microwaved; he simply apologized but we were still charged for the disgusting bowl of inedible soupy garbage that we didnât touch. I will never eat here again, and Iâd suggest all of fairhope spend their hard-earned...
Read moreBeing from Texas, I struggle to find good Mexican food here in Alabama. My family is always on the lookup for a great Mexican restuarants. Agave is the best I have found in the Fairhope area. They are pretty good and if I could, I would give them a 4.5-star rating. They just miss a few things to pull it up to a 5-star.
Their salsa, chips, and tortillas are really good and their approach to fajitas is a little unique and tastes great. I wish they had a pollo loco dish with chicken thighs and it would be nice if they bumped up the quality of their steak.
Great Mexican food is one of the things my family really misses after moving to Alabama. Having grown up in Houston and living in Austin for the past 23 years, we've never been short of great Mexican food. Lupi Tortilla and Torchy's are hard to beat.
At least for now, Agave is our go-to Mexican restaurant in the Fairhope, AL area. We are still looking for the 5-star, but I don't think it...
