Put an order in at 5:25 pm New Year's Eve. Was told the order would be ready in 30 to 35 minutes. Arrived at the restaurant at 6 pm to at least 20+ people waiting for their food order. They have you go up to the counter, they recite your order, take your money, but then tell you they have NO idea how much longer your food will be ready. We didn't get our food until 8 pm. They had us and several other patrons waiting over 1 to 2 hours for our food. This restaurant has no regard for the families and children waiting at home to eat. They have no regard for people's time. They have no regard for NYE plans people had. They only thing they cared about was making money. Well, I am here to say SHAME ON YOU, ASIA ONE BISTRO, for taking orders one after the other, telling people it would be ready in 30 minutes, and making people wait hours for their food. I would of have more respect if you told me that the food would be ready in 2.5 hours and I could have stayed home with family and then picked up the food when it was done. Because we waited so long, the food was cold by the time we got it home. I asked for extra low sodium soy packets and they only gave me two. A patron sitting next to me said the same thing happened to her family last year and after waiting over an hour last night asked for her money back. People were cheering when a food order finally did come out. Another customer was offering to sell his food for $200 when he got his order. Please think twice about visiting this restaurant, who is only interested in making money at the expense of their customers!! To make this right Asia One Bistro should offer any customer on NYE night, who can show their receipt, a 50% off voucher for the time wasted waiting for their food. AOB, honest communication with your customers goes a long way. Please make...
Read moreThis place is absolutely terrible. Poor excuse for Chinese food in my city.
Ordered two hot & spicy beef meals, with white rice, no vegetable, chicken fingers and chicken sticks.
I picked it up from the store since I was on the road. Drove home, got my kid into his high chair and grabbed plates and forks. Opened the chicken fingers to give to my kid, their just legit fried chicken tenders. Their “chicken fingers” are not the chicken fingers we are used to hence why they say (tenders) near their name. That’s my fault. BUT, their tenders were super dry and over fried. Some pieces were just breading with no actual chicken. The chicken sticks I ordered were super dry and had no actual flavor. As if it was diluted.
Now we get to the most frustrating part. The hot and spicy beef. Asia one has a unique way of cooking their hot and spicy beef compared to others in the city. Asia ones hot and spicy beef looks as if it’s cooked in a wok or a flat top. They get the edges of the beef nice and crispy with that little burnt taste that differed from other places that boil looks like they boil their beef in its sauce. Today was a different story. As I opened the container it didn’t even look like what I normally order. The beef itself was slimy and didn’t even looked like it was cooked fully. It smelt as if it was sitting in the container of its own myoglobin and the taste of it was over powering. I was completely turned off.
The white rice was the only good part of my meal and EVEN THAT, They didn’t even fill the container fully. Both containers were half filled.
Highly upset and will...
Read moreDo yourself a favor DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! The food was luke warm when it finally got here an hour and a half after I ordered it. The chicken fingers taste like chicken livers. The rice is very light on everything. I ordered vegetable fried rice and it had about 3 pieces of broccoli and 2 pieces of baby corn. The only good part of my meal were the crab rangoons and they were tough and chewy. I asked if they had real duck sauce meaning the brownish color duck sauce made with real applesauce and I received that weird orange crap that all the cheap Asian places give you. I used to work in an Asian restaurant I know the difference! I use to make the real duck sauce! I'm so disgusted that I wasted $25 on a nearly inedible meal and paid for fake duck sauce when you can get the real sauce free with your meal at most restaurants!!! Don't be fooled by the buildings pretty exterior the neighborhood is seedy and THE...
