I went in for some pastry at a friend's recommendation. The owner was rude, and never acknowledged me when entered. I asked a few questions about the pastry, she gave me the impression that I was bothering her and she possessed very little in customer service. She was only friendly and enjoyed her conversation with the Portuguese speaking ladies that were in front of me. I found the other girl who helped me to also be abrasive and just wanted to get the sale over with. Upon entering the establishment there is no greeting nor is there a warm sense of hospitality. As far as the pastry is concerned...it tastes like cheap ingredients as compared to other Portuguese bakeries in Fall River. I would not recommend this bakery and in addition, if you dont speak Portuguese, they make you feel inferior. My recommendation?? What makes this bakery worth visiting is the sweet bread aka masa. The masa is just enough crisp on the outer crust with an inside so soft and moist you could shape it in your fist. The best in the area! What’s frustrating is the baker only makes a certain quantity every week, even though they constantly run out before closing. The bakery hasn’t evolved with time and I don’t believe...

So I did, and went at 7:45am just in case (they still had some large and 1 small left, no mediums) and it is AMAZING! On the same trip, I compared to ?Amaral's and Silver Star in providence. Lou's wins, hands down! So fresh, not at all crumbly. Will be taking a couple of rounds home, to see if it...
