We had 6:30 reservations and were seated right away, so that's a good start. The first time we came here, we had to wait an hour before we were seated even though we had called ahead. So this is the third time I've been to Bucatino, and for an average, I would give it 3.5 stars. I find I much prefer the outdoor dining experience than the indoors. It was much too loud, plus with live entertainment, it was difficult to have a conversation with my fellow diners. When we were seated, we only received one menu for the table. We asked for more, which we did get but 10 minutes later and by then, we had already decided what we were ordering Dinner was a mixed bag. My adult son didn't care for his Caesar Salad, but the calamari was good. The garlic aioli was tasty, but I wish there had been a variety of rings and tentacles. There were only rings. My husband and I ordered the short rib special but were soon informed it was no longer available. It was only 6:30...I guess there were a lot of carnivores that night! So I ordered chicken marsala. I've had better, and the asparagus was a little too al dente for me. My husband liked his Lobster Ravioli. The sauce was light and had a subtle lobster flavor. My son had angel hair pasta with creamy pesto, and his girlfriend ordered the shrimp and scallop scampi. Both loved their dishes. Our server knew it was my son's birthday and brought over a complimentary tiramisu, which was unexpected but appreciated. Everyone liked it. Despite how busy it was, our server (and kitchen) did a great job getting our food to us in a timely manner. He was friendly, efficient, and attentive to our needs. We didn't have to wait too long for our check either. Will I come back a fourth time? I'm not sure, but if I do, I'll wait until summer to dine for dinner, or maybe I'll try...
Read moreThe restaurant is in a nice spot right off the highway with plenty of accessible parking. It had a good crowd for later on a Saturday night with lots of space, both inside and out, and nice ambiance from a musician playing in the bar area. Unfortunately everything else about the experience was incredibly mediocre. We were seated and told that told that it may take a while for the food to come out of the kitchen due to them being busy, which is completely understandable. I would rather know in the beginning than have it be a surprise. I ordered the clam chowder and chicken saltimbocca and while we were given bread with butter and oil the chowder never arrived. The main courses did arrive and I was less than impressed by my entrée. The chicken was very small and thin and was not wrapped in the prosciutto and sage as much as it was just dumped on top. The prosciutto was actually bigger than the chicken itself. The rest of the plate was taken up with pasta that was drowning in a very salty sauce which may not be to the liking to some people (I didn't mind it). Overall it was a very middling experience and with the wide variety of other options in the area I would...
Read moreWe had dinner tonight and everything was amazing. Everyone in our party was happy with their food and drinks. Service was spot on. I wish I knew our servers name to personally give a shout out. We were a party of 5 and got seated right away upon arriving. We opted to sit outside in the garden ( beautiful atmosphere) We were so indecisive on what we wanted to drink and what we wanted for food as the options all looked so good, we just couldn’t decide. Our server was so patient with us. Finally we decided and enjoyed everything we ordered. Calamari and stuffed meatball for appetizer. Chicken parm, Shrimp and scallop scampi and spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. Our server was very accommodating with everything we ordered and was completely on top of our drink orders and re-fills. She visited our table many times throughout the meal and was very proactive to our wants and needs. We finished our meal with espresso martinis and pistachio cake. We will definitely return when visiting Falmouth again. Shout out to your staff ( FOH and BOH) for such an...
