When I arrived, the young woman at the counter appeared very fatigued or possibly exhausted to make any efforts . She was resting on the counter with her head in her hands and seemed disengaged — not making eye contact or offering a welcoming greeting. I understand that everyone has off days, and this may have been one of those, but as a first impression, it set a difficult tone for the experience. our first conversation did not make me want to return to the counter and definitely not to want to engage with her as a service person because I felt the first interaction was bad enough for me to estimate that she didn’t wanna be there It wasn't that I expected perfect answers — just a little warmth or willingness to help. As a customer, it’s not just the food that brings us back — it’s how we’re.treated and I had to return to the counter to ask questions and make my order. I hated that I had to engage with her because of my first interaction before going, and sitting down to review the online menu. I felt this way when I first walked in the restaurant and I definitely couldn’t take anymore of her attitude when I try to just ask simple questions and I didn’t expect perfect answers, but I definitely did not want to eat there after dealing with her on another note, I am a pray. I am a chef and I’ve trained many people in hospitality and in the restaurant industry it’s common sense to be friendly...
Read moreI ordered the "portaburger," thinking it was a vegetarian portobello meal if the bacon were left off. I should have been tipped off that after I asked for the bacon-free version, I was asked about level cooking (I stupidly asked "um, what do you mean?" thinking a mushroom just needs to be cooked, lol). It was apparently a tasty meat burger, as was my companion's chicken pesto wrap and bacon-covered potato skins (I got to go lunch-free due to my goof). My family has enjoyed this place for years with their salads and pizzas. As a vegetarian, I should have been more careful, as they offer great veggie pizza, eggplant parm, etc. Definitely recommend, but suggest being observant if one of your party has dietary restrictions since, as with much Cape Cod cuisine, it takes some questioning to be sure of what...
Read moreWe had their 4 cheese pizza which was disgusting. I assumed wrong that it would be the four common pizza cheeses. But, it came loaded with ricotta cheese which tasted like a pair of dirty socks. Also didn't have pizza sauce - which didn't make sense. What pissed me off more was being forced to pay for water as they blamed "town laws" for the cause. If the town or city doesn't allow you to serve water, they shouldn't allow you to do anything with your water (including waching dishes) Was that why the bathroom only had cold water and no soap? More regulations?? We also ordered loaded fries so spent 38.00 for a pizza and fries. The gross after taste has been long lasting - so...
