I've lived in Falmouth for nearly 4 years and have never had the urge to eat here. I just didn't like the looks of the place or the name. At the recommendation of an acquaintance, who insisted it was the best place in town, I decided to give them a try today. I'll admit, the interior is much nicer than the exterior, but it's a bit cramped. The menu had a nice selection of beverages and dishes. I was really on the verge of changing my mind about this place, until the service and the food fell short of what started out to be a nice lunch. Not sure if they were short-staffed, but my entree was visibly cold (hollandaise on my haddock was congealed) and cold to taste, including my sides. Same for my daughter's dish, and her steak tips were seared too long and charred. We didn't make a big deal about it. I trimmed the burnt edges off the tips, and we finished our cold meals, ordered dessert, and even tipped the waitress less than my usual 20% for the less than stellar service, but she seemed nice. In retrospect, I should have taken a photo of our dishes to prove my point, but that's just so tacky. Needless to say, I won't be going back, and it's a shame. They came so highly recommended. I guess that acquaintance of mine enjoys his food cold. I certainly don't. My suggestion for anyone else, check in with your waitress often, and be one of those people who demand fast competent service because I sure didn't get any when I was polite and patient. Happy...
Read moreAbsolutely love this place for one particular salad; that being the grilled chicken Caesar salad placed in what is normally used for a taco salad crispy shell. When I tell you this shell is to die for, it is so delicious, the fresh crispy shell that was literally just submerged inGrease provides a slight moisture with crunch in each bite perfectly paired with juicy grilled chicken strips tossed in a again but extremely delicious Caesar salad dressing. I recommend getting extra dressing on the side for all the extra outer shell so you can tear off each piece and dip and the Caesar salad for the crunchy Tang. Since this is so delicious I have failed to try any other option on what looks like a optional scale of different food variety, however I can give another recommendation when it comes to the desert hands-down go for the pecan pie topped with a little whip cream if you’re eating in, however when I take it home it’s even better warmed up in the toaster oven for a few minutes topped with vanilla ice cream to melt over diffusing the tiny slight of extra sweetness to melt in your mouth literally before...
Read moreUgh. We are new to the area and a google search said this place was decent. It is not in fact decent. The service was the worst I’ve had in recent memory. We could hear the music from the kitchen staff, we witnessed unsanitary conditions, throwing food items in the kitchen. The staff swearing at each other and joking about finding cat fur everywhere.
We were greeted by an older woman who seemed bothered to clean a table for us to sit down. We should have left at that but gave it a try.
Ordered the calamari to start. They must have thought we ordered grease with a side of calamari, they were soaked in oil.
The scallop dinner was the same. Inedible. Barely touched it.
The service was absolutely the worst. Brandon R should not work in restaurants. He tossed items onto the table. Continued conversations into the kitchen while serving us. Didn’t check on us and tossed the check onto the table from a few feet back. It was on a clipboard too. It took everything in me to even leave a tip at all. This place is horrible. Zero redeeming qualities. Will never go back and do not...
