Worst first visit ever! We watched the story on Channel 11 with Doug Dunbar and Karen Borta,, and this seemed like a good new BBQ restaurant to try. So, we went the next day, Saturday, for dinner, to the location in Farmers Branch off LBJ Freeway, and what a mistake that was. We walked in, and what a strange set up for a restaurant. Only a few tables (maybe 6 or 8) in a seating area, a HUGE bar, and an area with a pool table or two, and a few tables around it. Then, a large very long table, with walls at each end, very strange, and I'm not sure who would sit there unless you had a large party of about 30 or more to fill the table. And, a large number of beautiful TVs everywhere, with the sound turned up so high that hearing loss would be a certainty. When the waiter sautered over, we could not hear him. We assumed he came to get our drink order, so we placed it and asked him to please have the volume turned down. There were only about 4 other people in the restaurant at the time (about 6 PM on a Saturday night, Texas-OU weekend). We think he said he would adjust the volume. When he brought the drinks, we again asked to have the volume turned down. He said he would check with the manager. After another 5-10 minutes, and him not returning and the volume remaining at an unsafe level, we decided that this restaurant was not interested in listening to customers, and not interested in our business, so we decided to leave. I went to the bar to pay for our drinks, asked again about the volume, and he said the manager said the volume would not change, but, of course, did not come over to tell us. Again, worst experience of customer service I have seen in a very long time. I think that you can find plenty of other restaurants with good food who care about customer satisfaction than to try this one.

Read moreWell, one might say that my first mistake was ordering through DoorDash, but a girl has got to work and leaving for lunch just isn't possible all the time. So, I thought I'd give B&B a try. I ordered the Pork Belly Banh Mi sandwich with fried okra instead (which i did not get ) of fries. I also ordered their Pit Master sandwich, no bun, with baked beans. The fries I didn't ask for, were super greasy and hollow on the inside, I imagine the fried okra would have turned out the same. The baked beans had an awful aluminum taste on the back end. Never again! The brisket and jalapeno sausage was dry on the Pit master and the onion rings that came on top were also super greasy. I did however eat the Banh Mi sandwich. It's description on the menu was very much exaggerated because what I actually tasted was fair to Midland. There was no zing or zesty flavor coming from the slaw but the pork belly meat itself was ok. I was starving so I ate that. Everything else is at the bottom of the trash can. I doubt very much the experience would have been any different had I gone in for a sit down lunch. Very disappointed. Also, when I called to speak to someone about my order...you have to leave a message. No one answers. It's sad because I work across the highway at 635 & Luna and there are tons of people I work with. I would've loved to have shared a positive experience. I didn't think to take pictures until after I'd thrown...
Read moreIf you’re looking for a solid bbq place with fantastic food and even better service, this is your spot. We tried the turkey club sandwich with the bbq smoked turkey. This sandwich came highly recommend and was a winner. It comes with fries but you can choose any side you’d want. Absolutely great meal. We also got the 3 meat plate and that comes with one side. I got the jalapeño cheddar sausage… soooo gooood. As well as the ribs. This option gets you 4 enormous pork ribs. The rub was a little too peppery for my taste but damn that was a good rib. I believe the bbq sauce served with it is made in house and has a nice zing to it. The ribs are cooked perfectly and were really good. I’d definitely order it again. I chose the glazed carrots with pecans as the side and it did not disappoint. The service at this place is amazing. Our sever even brought us one of their burnt ends to try. It was the size of a fist and melted in our mouth. Definitely try them. This is our second visit to this place, the first time we ate at Black Agave. They are joined together so you can literally order off both menus. Come hungry as the portions are huge. Please go give them a try. We love...
