The Donut Palace — Restaurant in Farmers Branch

First time here, not sure I’ll be back. There’s a wide variety of items which is great but the atmosphere is unwelcoming. I was literally stared down and watched the entire 5 minute visit in the store, and I was wearing a CFB District shirt; clearly not a threat. However, no customer should be watched like that. Very uncomfortable. I ordered 2 kolaches with cheese, assuming I would be given the small ones but I discovered in my car they’re the huge ones. I was not asked which size I wanted. I also purchased a glazed twist, a glazed donut and a Powerade, in which the drinks are not cold, but cool. Undesirable. My food was also not warmed up enough, also discovered as I drove away.

All in all, my visit wasn’t great...

Worst service ever! There are people in line waiting, the cashier is charging and at the same time the asian lady is talking to the same customer whos paying and there are people waiting in line. Very very rude. Thats why people hate going to places to order now. Mind you there are 5 other workers that could help. At 11 am not much of a selection either. Last time i come here! EDIT: ok i had the apple friiter- no taste, no apples, wasnt even soft! Terrible terrible place. I guess businesses now like to give bad service and bad food yet up the prices for mediocre food...

Really good food! It's a classic donut place, not super classy but that's not why you go to a donut shop lol, ask to get your stuff warmed up and everything's good, especially the jalapeno pigs or the chocolate eclairs. The glazed donuts are solid too, they're different and have this quality of disappearing from your plate, I'm pretty sure my wife takes them when I'm not looking which isn't often 😎. Not the best looking area so-to-speak but don't let that fool you 👍, and the overall cleanliness...
