Gabriela's Mexican Grill Restaurant — Restaurant in Farmington

I need to start by saying this has been my go to place for years. My favorite salsa by far. Buuuut idk what changed; service has plummeted. Story time: I sit with myself and my daughter (she is 4). It takes about 5 minutes after we got chips go get a drink order. Then 10 minutes later got our food ordered. I had onion fajitas, oh I mean chicken fajitas. (Take note of how much bell pepper I got. [My favorite part of fajitas]) Well about a 1/4 way through our meal, my daughter needs to go to the bathroom. Ok cool, I bring my wallet as I dont want it stolen and I hadn't seen our waitress to tell her so we just go. It wont be but a minute. We go and come back to our table being cleared. Wiped and everything gone. (We were gone maybe 3 minutes) Now I'm annoyed. I go to the waitress at the bar (not behind the bar just on the side texting) standing socially distanced I say ma'am. No response. I say ma'am again quite a bit louder. No response. I finally wave my hand and lean in and still pretty loud. Ma'am (sternly). She looks up and said what do you need. I say where is my food at my table. She says uhh hold on, and walks away to the kitchen. My waitress comes out saying sorry, I thought you was gone. (Here the waitress brings you your check, so she should have known if we were there) I said annoyed, obviously bc all our food is gone. I just had to take her to the bathroom. We did get our meal compt since I didn't want to wait for them to remake it all to go. I dont understand what has changed and I wont be back for a while that's for sure. And I'm not the only person I've talked to with the new shotty service lately. So...

Wasn’t even happy hour and my margarita was $4.50. That’s pretty good compared to other places.

I just got a taco and a side salad and a grilled jalapeño and Ask For extra cilantro . My bill was I think $16. I will probably be here on a pretty regular basis .

A big plus is they were not playing their music too loud ! It was decent dining volume. That is so hard to find nowadays.

I really did like their tacos. I like their salsa the salsa I had was mild, but I could’ve drank it. They do put it in small containers, so you might want to ask for a bigger bowl . The tacos are pretty darn good

Oh my salad I got ranch dressing and I’m not supposed to have dairy not the best choice for me. The dressing does taste like craft brand ranch. I’m sure if you order a little sour cream on the side and put that in it it’s going to be excellent instead of Kraft or whatever they use.

I actually liked this place. I emphasized liked because I will no longer be going back. The food excillent for American Mexican restaurant. Atmosphere and lay out are both also amazing. The probablem lies in one incident and one incident alone. An order I made at lunch (steak fajitas) came with no onions or peppers. Now true lunch is smaller as they put it. What they would not understand, is I was not upset with portion I was upset with lack of ingredients. Eventually they took it back and gave me a new one. Having to deal with smarty remarks, and rudeness I will no longer be returning. I do not believe in giving one star because of one incident. I do however think the incident should be noted. I would recommend as I was a frequent customer, but as I am not a customer any longer I would not highly recommend it. There prices are plenty high...
