Thought I would try it since you never know where a good Mexican restaurant might be. Totally wishing I didn't waste my time and money. Went at 8pm on a Thursday. Only one other family there (should have took the hint then) and they already looked like they were about to close, even though the hours stated open till 9pm. Another group of men came in a few minutes later so there was a whopping 9 customers at 8:10pm on a Thursday night.
The menu is nothing special and I ordered a 3 chicken taco combo which I thought at $9.50 was reasonable. And I ordered a drink. The food came out quickly and was decently presented. The corn chips before the meal were decent and the salsa was good. That's about it for the highlights.
The chicken tacos were incredibly bland, the shells were a day or two away from being stale, the refried beans and rice looked incredibly generic, maybe straight from a can with the beans and the rice looked like it had been sitting in a pot all day. No flavor, not enough cheese, and tons of liquid pouring out of the chicken tacos. I had to ask the waitress for silverware halfway through the meal (none on the table) and waited a while to get a drink refill. Also you only get ONE drink refill and that wouldn't be big deal but a regular soft drink was $3.50! And of course they specified only one order of corn chips is complimentary. Most good restaurants don't have a limit on refills of drinks or chips. Also no bar so no chance at margaritas.
Anyway the bill came and with a whopping charge for the drink it ended up around $16 with tip for a plate of tasteless bland chicken tacos and a drink.
The decor was incredibly generic with only a couple of murals trying to save face. The lighting was somewhere between operating room and school classroom. There was no ambiance and it was wildly apparent why it was empty on a Thursday night.
If you don't know what good Mexican food tastes like this place might be fine. Otherwise go somewhere else in town where your money is much better spent. I certainly...
Read moreMy family waited a while, (understandable) to be seated at a dirty table with a wobbly booth/chair. When seated, a server took our drink order and brought cold, bland chips and salsa (was okay). A few minutes later, a different server came and took our drink order again. My Diet Pepsi was flat (okay, can let this go), so asked for hot tea. For the entire meal, only received one small mug of hot water for tea. Waited till more than halfway for server to return with spoon and sugar. The family that came in and ordered after us, received their food sooner than us. I had ordered a menudo and posole, it came spicier and in a smaller bowl than the east side that has recently closed. I told server I requested posole with menudo, she took it back, and returned with no posole added and it had lesser menudo when brought out the 1st time. The sopipillas could have been fried a little longer, but they still tasted good. I saw a surprised look on our server's face bc my soup hadn't been touched much. I asked for a to go container and told server I was going to cook my own posole at home and add to cut spiciness and have posole in soup. I never received napkins and had to ask for flatware after meal was served. At the end, I paid $46.00. Taco salad was $13.00. The meal and service was not worth price. I felt cheated. On the way out, I saw a petition to impeach the governor, so that this restaurant could stay open. Someone had written, "Why?" (not me). Maybe they had also been disappointed with their meal and service too? In the past, I have had good food and service at this restaurant. Perhaps, it is bc they have newly opened again and are still adjusting? Afterwards, I was still hungry and I stopped at Wendy's. I received good and quick...
Read moreLos Hermanitos is an exceptional destination, perfect for a romantic date night, a delightful family outing, or even a sophisticated corporate dinner – they accommodate all occasions with grace and style. The culinary experience is nothing short of fantastic. I savored the beef sizzling fajitas, a dish that exemplifies mastery in seasoning. Each tender slice of meat was infused with bold, striking flavors, harmoniously complemented by vibrant bell peppers and onions. The array of toppings, including freshly made guacamole, rich sour cream, and chopped jalapeños, elevated the dish to new heights.
With two warm flour tortillas at my disposal, I was able to craft mouthwatering bites that were pure bliss. Among my family, two members opted for the tacos — both crunchy and grilled tortilla varieties — which they thoroughly enjoyed. My daughter was particularly enamored with her refried beans, declaring them extraordinary and wishing she had ordered a double serving.
As we savored our meals, laughter and contentment filled the air. We left the restaurant with full bellies and happy hearts, the memories of our delightful feast lingering long after we departed. The service was attentive and genuinely friendly, adding to the overall warm atmosphere of the establishment. We are eagerly anticipating our next visit to indulge in more culinary delights at...
