Updating a review from last year as we decided to go back. Last week we went back. 4 people this time for a sit down dinner. Waitress was quick to welcome us and took drink order. We ordered our dinners and 3 of the 4 ordered dinners with soup and salad. Waitress came back with one soup and no silverware. Said she would come back with a soup spoon. She came back with one of two salads and still no spoon. We asked for the 2nd salad and silverware for the table. She came back with a handful of loose silverware and dropped it on the table. Then proceeded to take some away. 2nd salad arrived and then three of the four meals, calzone, chicken and stuffed shells. The 4th meal grilled salmon was not coming up. Waitress checking in a few times saying the salmon was coming shortly. Took over 20 minutes after the 3 meals were delivered for the salmon to show up. Waitress continued to make excuses that they wanted to make sure the salmon was fresh. Then the bill came. My guest who ordered the Salmon quickly picked up the check. I begged her for it. When the check was paid for, the Waitress came back explaining that they had to run the card again even though we had a proper receipt. She called the manager over and he tried explaining that their computers reset while the transaction went through and our charge didn't go through. They recharged the bill and provided a new receipt. Ironically this one was more than the first. Seems the Waitress who claimed she was a teacher of computers didn't give us the proper bill. I made sure that her tip reflected that we didn't get proper service. Embarrassing performance Mama Lukes and as you didn't respond to my review a year ago I'm not expecting a response on this one.
Ordered on line and meal was ready on time. Food was hot and well plated and bagged properly. I didn't ask for cutlery as I had my own. The reason they didn't get the 5th star was because of the soups. We ordered 4 meals, 3 with soup (Pasta Fagiole) and the soups did not have any broth in them. Just 3 cups half filled with beans and very little noodles. I will go back sometime as our pasta...
Read moreWe have dined here many times over the years. The staff is very good, pleasant, friendly, attentive. The last couple of visits we have seen a change in the food. The lack of quality control is noticeable. (as seen here in some other posts) The last two visits we have been served undercooked calamari. Yesterday the calamari arrived and you could see its color was a very light golden brown which we knew when she put it down it would be undercooked. Surprised it even left the kitchen. We ate it, noticed it was very chewy, and the breading was falling off. We left some of it, which we never do, and informed the waitress it was undercooked. She probably noticed when she cleared the plates there was calamari wo breading on our plates and some left on the serving plate. We are big fans of their meatball salad. Two visits ago the salad came and instead of lettuce it was "rabbit food greens." No lettuce but all different cheap greens. Next time we came did not order the salad. Yesterday two of us tried the salad again and thankfully the lettuce was back and no other greens. BUT.. the meatballs were small and have shrunk in size. There were no olives, carrots, or cucumbers as there were in the past. The peppers in the salad were cooked large cuts of bell peppers. They were quarter slice of the entire pepper both green and red and were cooked. In the past the salad usually had rings of bell peppers that were not cooked. Another in the party had a Buffalo chicken wrap. It was lacking any fair amount of chicken and also noticed their style of fries has changed. Its apparent lacking chicken in a wrap, smaller meatballs, salad lacking previous food used in the salad (olives, cukes) they are cutting back on quality to maximize profits. Unfortunately when your loyal customers notice the short cuts they will tire of the cheapness and not return. You need to put your quality back in...
Read moreMy boyfriend has wanted to take me here since I moved to the area, and we're here now for lunch with a friend. I just have to say... Wow! I ordered the small... SMALL eggplant fries... The portion is HUGE! They're very light and tasty. My entrée came with a salad, and it was perfect (for me). A simple salad with just fresh lettuce, shaved carrots, and cucumbers, which may be too spartan for people who like more to their salad, but I'm a picky salad eater, so I was grateful for simplicity. The house made ranch dressing is DELICIOUS. I liked it so much that we asked for extra. (I dipped some eggplant fries in the ranch - highly recommend.) The atmosphere is fairly plain due to a lack of much interior design, but I really enjoy the low lighting; it makes for a nice, mellow vibe. Our server Alana is ✨ absolutely amazing ✨. She is super attentive, chill, and friendly. (Her voice is very pleasant and calming.) Alana was quick to answer my questions and cater to my requests - I'm very particular about some things and she handled everything with kindness and grace. If you get Alana, know that you're in great hands and she will take care of you - be kind and respectful to her!!! When our entrées came, it was no shock that the portions were massive. I got the fettuccine alfredo with shrimp, and my boyfriend got the cheesesteak sandwich with mushrooms. I tried a bite of his sandwich and it was yummy. I'm picky about cheesesteak, but this was so juicy and tender. My fettuccine alfredo tasted different, but not in a bad way. The texture was perfect, and there was a fair amount of shrimp. I loved it. Everything we got was well worth the price, especially considering I'll be easily getting 2-3 meals out of my leftovers. (Edit/Update: Make that 5 meals!!! I eat small portions, so I got 5 meals out of the fettuccine alfredo!) I'm DEFINITELY looking forward to...
