Update 12/8 goat ox stew chicken jerk chicken

Every..single..thing was delicious. They improved significantly since the below review from a couple months ago. ox - was tender and sauce was full of flavor with like 8 pieces in a medium. goat - was seasoned well and mild-to-medium heat on the curry. Stew chicken - balanced salty sweet and rich flavor. Jerk - was baked but sauce is punchy and good/expected. Definitely the new favorite in town. a while ago review:

beef and coco bread ox goat ox was tough. cardinal sin of ox. disappointing. Sauce disappointed significantly. Ox sauce had no flavor and no seasoning plus portioned with bad pieces and only 4-5 overall pieces on a medium. curry goat sauce was over-salted and the sauce wasnt cooked long enough. the coco bread is legit so is the beef patty. I gave a 5 because I wanna see them do well. they have a beautiful kitchen and all the right things in place except the product itself. Will try again in a couple months. Also git rid of that sweet brown "spicy sauce" - tastes like it was...

An older gentleman walked by me and I heard him very lightly said that oxtail was so good and then he threw the container in the garbage I could tell it was empty and I asked him I said hey did you just say oxtail he said yeah oxtail was so good the meat fell off the bones I said were did you get it from? He said a mile up the road so right away he sold me his voice kept repeating in my mind " The meat fell of the bone" up the street he gave me the address but within the hour the snow n ice storm began and I'm from Hartford so I got caught up trying to reach home in the process I lost my wallet and froze my credit cards and ordered new ones. Tuesday hits and I'm in town thinking "the meat fell off the bone" stopped in to order I only had a virtual card no physical one and $35 + in quarters embarrassing change no apple pay and the girl was helping me I really wanted the Oxtail but I will be there this Monday with my new card for some meat fall off...

This is the best thing Bristol has gotten since I don’t know when. If you was like me that would travel to Hartford for some good Jamaican food, I’m here to tell you that you don’t have to anymore. And if you like Mac and cheese, I’m here to tell that they have Jerk Mac and Cheese. Straight fire 🔥. The service is as good as their food 🔥 jerk pork rice and peas and veggies 🔥 stew chicken 🔥 and beef patties and coco bread 🔥. My primary doctor told me I should get on a diet right but I mean after trying this food I’m like who is diet? I don’t want to know him lol don’t bring him near me lol. I’m doing just fine w/o him 😂😂 the oxtail is legit. I’d take a picture and post it but it would inappropriate to snap a photo of my belly lol. Enjoy...

Today was an extremely cold day and I stumbled upon this Jamaican restaurant and it’s a true gem! From the moment you step in, the vibrant atmosphere sets the tone for an authentic culinary journey. The menu boasts tantalizing Jamaican flavors that transport your taste buds straight to the islands. Each dish is a masterpiece of spices and freshness, from the jerk chicken bursting with flavor to the perfectly seasoned sides. The welcoming staff adds an extra layer of charm, making every visit an unforgettable experience. Don't let its unassuming location fool you—this Jamaican eatery is a delightful surprise!

What a gem! We wanted to test this new restaurant out so my husband and I got a small jerk chicken plate and a spicy beef patty. This is the type of place that packs the to-go container super full so you get more than your money’s worth :)! For $10.19 the small jerk chicken meal came with a drumstick and thigh meat (similar to rotisserie style), enough rice for 2 people and cooked cabbage on the side. We also split the beef patty which was huge and only $3.69. Together it came to $13.88! We can’t wait to go back. Super tasty!

This was my first time trying Jamaican food from this location. I really enjoyed everything from the rice and peas to the jerked Mac and cheese. Ox tails falling off the bone and the jerked chicken was actually seasoned to perfection. The customer service was absolutely amazing! The owner was explaining how they make their pudding as they gave us a sample to take home and were the most polite workers. It might've been my first time going but definitely not my last!
