I normally absolutely love Huddle House's food and atmosphere. However, I went on March 1st around 11am. We sat ourselves per their instruction. There were only 3 tables available all all 3 were durty or covered in crumbs. I wiped the crumbs away myself and waited for 5 mins before any one came over to take our drink order. There were only 2 wait staff and it looked like 3 or 4 cooks. The place was not overtly busy and the parties were small. The waiter brought our drinks in about 2 mins time but walked away before we could order. It was another 8 minutes before he came back for us to order. We ordered a side of toast and an order of 2 biscuits and gravy (we had a coupon for 1.99 on the gravy biscuits). We waited 20 minutes before I asked the female waitress ( I couldnt catch my waiter) how much longer it would be. She replied in a very brash manner and said "they just started working on it, be patient". I said "ok" and waited. I watched 4 parties get served their full meals before I got 2 side dishes. After 32 minutes my waiter brought me the biscuits and gravy but no toast. I politely reminded him that I ordered toast and he said, "their making it" then walked away. I looked at my plate of biscuits and gravy and it looked different than normal. The gravy was dingy (not white like normal) and the sausage in it was red not brown. It looked half cooked and partially raw despite being hot. I took 2 bites and it tasted weird so I stopped eating it. Another 8 minutes went by and I recieved NO toast and my waiter never came back to the table. During that time, I watched my waiter and the female waiter serve a total of 3 people plates with sides of toast (but I never got mine). Since I couldn't get my waiters attention I went to the register to pay. I stood there 2.5 minutes before the female waiter came over to ask what I needed. I told her I wanted to pay and I had somewhere to go. She got my check and I requested the toast be taken off since I never got it. I did pay for the raw saussage gravy and still tipped 2$ on a 6$ bill because I know waiters don't make much money. The female waitress said she was sorry for the wait but they were short staffed and slammed (there were 5 empty tables when we left). I didn't comment, just boxed my raw food to take with me so I could come back when I had time later to talk with a manager. Worst service I have...
Read moreI walked into order breakfast on 7/8/2024 @ 8:18 am. As soon as I walked in the door, the heat hit me like walking into a furnace. I saw a floor fan in the entrance way but honestly it was just circulating the heat. I saw three ladies behind a counter. I asked why they didn't have air conditioning. They said it's been like that all summer and they had called management several times but nothing had been done about it. I reluctantly ordered the $5.99 breakfast. I had to walk outside where it was actually cooler than inside, while I waited. It didn't take them long to prepare it. The lady who took my order informed me they were out of milk. I told her orange juice would be fine. Another lady opened a small fridge and handed the other one a milk carton. She poured it into a small cup, it started to overflow, I saw her arm go up with cup in hand to her mouth. She had her back to me, both other ladies looked surprised as she put the lid on the cup and handed it to me. I started to say something, but with no one else around except myself and them, I thought best not to. They would have just denied it anyway. I tossed it in the trash later. I was starving after working all night, otherwise I wouldn't have eaten the food. The hash browns were barely cooked and tasteless. The cheese was hard, the biscuit was hard as a rock, the egg and sausage were ok. In my opinion, the place needs to be shut down. I'm calling the labor board to report the working conditions. I'm reporting to the corporate office, better business bureau, the media, and wherever I can to let them know the working conditions these ladies are working in. Whomever the manager and owners are, they should be ashamed of themselves. It's been the hottest summer in years, and they're having to work around heat all day with no air conditioning. Shame on you! However, that doesn't excuse the behavior of the waitresses either. How sanitary can this place and the food be when a waitress is drinking from the cup she gives the customer. The food is horrible and probably out of date. I'm also calling the health department. I've seen some horrible restaurants, this one is by...
Read moreThis place was a total disaster. The place was very nasty. Tables, floors, floors behind the counter. Grill area, prep area. We still down to a dirty table. Then waited fir 10 minutes just to get water. A couple came in behind us, they received they drinks and the order was taken, before we even received our water. Then someone else, came out and brought out our water. Still not taking our order. The lady finally came out and to take our order. She was very soft spoken, we had to repeat our order, twice. 20 minutes after our order came out, it was wrong. First before they prepare our food, one came out to tell us they did not have hash browns(which was again after the other couples food came out, and they were finished eating). There were hugs and conversation for the other couple. Our order was wrong. I ordered country ham, with my eggs and hash browns(which they not have). A cook( no hat, shirt tail out, sweating) gave me my plate which had bacon,. I told him, he reached with his hands, to take the bacon off my plate, which I stopped him from. The other person, who brought the other plate was wrong as well. She was dirty, long hair everywhere. They brought out our one waffle that we were going to share, then had to ask three times for syrup. The waffle was so cold, the butter on top would not melt. It was so thin and dry, as if they did not have enough batter. While we were waiting for our food, a man had to ask three times for a fork. He walked out, with his food on the table. There four people working, it was not a staffing issue. They were not busy. Lazy, not organizing with any kind of flow. No sense of urgency or concerns for customers. So one of the workers, started give 50% off all tickets. No apologies. Oh and while we were waiting for our food, one of the ladies behind the counter, was eating a piece of sausage with her hands, and drinking something. I will never eat at another Huddle House and will share the...
