If you are looking for a local place to get a great steak, check this place out. Our steaks were perfectly cooked and had great flavor. They had pasta, burgers, and other items on the menu but we all got steak dinners. The ranch dressing is absolutely fabulous and you just can't get enough of it. The fried pickles are very tasty dill and the fried cheese was also very good. Wish we had known the half order appetizers were HUGE, wow... half is definitely enough for at least 4 maybe 6 people. Wish we had saved room to try desserts. Our server was attentive but not annoying or overbearing. We will be back!

We were just passing through this cute little town and stopped in, the atmosphere was quiet and cozy the staff were friendly the fried chicken wrap on a jalapeño wrap was so good. I would definitely recommend. I noticed they had a children's menu as well so you can bring the whole family. The building interested me as well, a fire department and a jail, it boasts pictures of the very old fire department and further in very old jail cells. I was distracted by the pictures hanging so no food pictures for this one but trust this is a place I will make a special trip to return to.

Cahoots was recommended by a friend. It was our 1st visit. We had the onion ring appetizer. Ribeye Steak, shrimp, and a burger/fries. The steak and shrimp came with a salad, and potato. The onion ring appetizers came out very quickly, and were hot and very delicious. Good portion size. The salad was crisp fresh, and they brought plenty of dressing. All the food was cooked perfectly to order. The value was excellent. When compared to most restaurants, and inflation.... the prices were very reasonable here. Our server was so fast, and efficient! It was a very good experience.

Cahoot's Restaurant was built in the old county jail, and the steel bars and jail cell add a unique ambiance to this family owned restaurant. My wife remembered visiting there with her mother many years ago and since we were in the area and hungry, we decided to check it out. We got there about 5pm on a Tuesday, so there weren't many people there yet but by the time we finished our meal people were lining up to get in. This must be one of the local's hidden gems because the food was fantastic, and was served fast and piping hot. We had ribeye with fried shrimp with side salads and fries, and everything was great. Our waitress was friendly and told us that most of the staff were related to one another and she herself had worked there for almost 30 years. The big attraction of Cahoot's is the two dining areas actually built in old jail cells. The walls were covered in people's names so they either let customers sign their walls or the jail had a lot of prisoners! There is a bar there, though closed at the time we were there, but alcohol is served. Every the restrooms were clean and well stocked. Overall, a surprisingly wonderful experience. If you are in the Fayetteville area or are in the mood for a relaxing, scenic drive head on over to Cahoot's for a unique...

I went with a group. Service was good considering we had 28 (we had reservations) and only one server for everything (ordering, refills, handing out food etc...) Fried pickles very good. They had a heavier breading than I'm accustomed, but good flavor. I ordered Blackened catfish with mixed vegetables(pre-bagged &frozen). My vegetables were okay, needed salt&pepper. My blackened catfish was only grilled. She even said "here is your grilled catfish". I said I had the blackened, to which she said, "it's the blackened, they look the same". They do not at most restaurants. I'd hoped it might have been the Cajun, but it was just grilled. Good flavor& moist, but not what I ordered. A friend's Smothered chicken was covered with just a slice of cheese. (Said cheese sauce). Those that ordered steak burgers said very good and cooked correctly. Grilled chicken was dry, but the Babe chicken that was ordered was very good. The ribeye was tender that was ordered. Another friend ordered the fried catfish. Her filets were heavily breaded and crunchy. Said flavor was good. It was a...

I went on a date there. The hostess seemed stressed and didn't greet us pleasantly. We were unacknowledged for longer than felt appropriate. Had my date not suggested the place I would have left. I told the server that I had never been there. She made no recommendation, welcome or expression that a return would be hoped for. I understand the place has been there a while. It seemed steady so maybe they don't care if a new customer comes back. The fried mushrooms were good. Other than my date wanting to go back I can't say the experience was one to repeat. The food was served very close together. We were there close to closing. Maybe they were ready to go which is probably why no dessert was offered. I worked myself that day and was tired I know service can be a challenge. Though if they can't muster a pleasant greeting I'd rather spend money in a place that can at least appreciate...
