I had been wanting to try this restaurant for awhile now, so last Sunday I placed a pick up order. The lady on the phone was polite and cheerful, when I walked inside the restaurant.I was immediately looked upon yet not one employee greeted me.They were either talking amongst themselves or to other customers.Mind you there’s a sign inside that says wait here to be seated.I was standing there nobody still acknowledged me. I then walked up to the counter and finally an employee approached the cash register. Not a greeting or a smile even other waitresses approached the counter still no greeting. She told me my total and I paid. Then she became distracted by another employee making change. I then stood there and finally had to ask her is that my order sitting on the counter which she replies oh yeah and hands it too me. I then left and as I approached the door a lady I knew that shops were I work smiled and waved at me. That small genuine interaction was the most I received since I stepped into the place. Read moreOh the failure! We were sitting waiting for our breakfast for at least 30 minutes. In the meantime we hear, we are out of biscuits, we are out of gravy, we are out of spoons. Breakfast comes with over cooked biscuits, no gravy, country ham was cold. The server comes over and asks if everything is ok. Well, we tell her and she says the owner had to go home to get more gravy. Well, cancel that and we ask for toast instead. The owner finally arrives, who also is one of the cooks. The server tells the owner what we had issues with, he tell us a bunch of excuses including his van broke down and had the normal everyday things. We tell him there’s no excuse for serving half of the things without the rest to go along with it, like biscuits and gravy. He gets in a huff and just turns around and walks off. Nice respect for the customers that pay your bills….moron! While we were there other customers had issues too including one customer that did get gravy but didn’t eat it. On the bright side, the servers were friendly and sympathetic for this...
Read moreHoly Sheet!!! What a wonderful surprise for lunch! I had the lunch plate of the day which was meatloaf, mashed potatoes and pinto beans... Simply awesome good home-cooked meal! Market Street Grill knocked the meatloaf out of the park with awesome flavors and perfect texture. My better half ordered a double cheeseburger and she was wowed by it and stated that she should have ordered a single for how thick & juicy the pattie was... Fresh ground beef and cooked perfectly to her specifications. Angel was our waitress and she was very pleasant and attentive. I don't know the cook's name but he used to live in Boston and we talked about my recent travels there... He knocked it out of the park also for preparing a wonderful lunch for both of us. Thanks Market Street Grill we will return when we pass through Fayetteville,...
