This little bar was conveniently located basically within the Quality Inn we were staying at during our visit to the New River Gorge National Park. We ate here our first night because we were exhausted from the journey up, but wound up getting carryout for our last night because we legitimately enjoyed it, it was sooo convenient, and there's not a ton of options in the area open later in the evening. I'm glad we took a chance on it!

The first night we dined inside. It's a cozy little sports bar and exactly what you'd expect; lots of WVU memorabilia, a couple of TVs, and a nice bar. They actually had a Riesling available, to the delight of my mom, so that was a pleasant surprise! The young male host who seated us was also a super pleasant fellow.

They were very busy because they were hosting a small high school reunion in what looked like an extra space for rental. However, service and food was still pretty prompt! Our waitress seemed a little distracted and had a hard time hearing us but otherwise she did a good job.

We were still fairly full from lunch, so my parents and I split the appetizer platter (comes with wings, mozzarella sticks, jalapeño poppers, and loaded potato skins) and added on an order of pretzels and beer cheese, while my husband got an order of barbeque wings. Everything was about what you'd expect, which is to say, enjoyable! The jalapeño poppers and wings were particularly good, and the ranch for dipping was clearly house-made.

The revelation, however, was the pretzel sticks and beer cheese. Holy goodness, they were AMAZING. Their deliciousness alone was probably the deciding factor in our return visit. When we got carryout on the last night, each one of us ordered the pretzel sticks, lol. Seriously worth the trip!

Thanks for a reliable dinner spot during...

My wife and I ate at Elliot's last night. We were seated without delay, although it did fill up shortly thereafter and they had to tell people to wait. We were waited on almost immediately, and we were checked on throughout our stay by our waitress and two others. It was clean and well-lit. There was a digital juke box on the wall, and there was a red sign attached that said that any songs with explicit lyrics played before 10:00 PM would be skipped, perhaps because of the lady's review that was posted previously. Our food was as we ordered it, and the burgers were among the best I've ever had. I ordered pickles on mine, and they were three large, tick ones that covered the patty well. Our waitress kept our drinks refreshed without us asking. We will be...

You are better going elsewhere to watch sports. Nobody seems to know how to put the sports on any particular TV. A simple reference sheet made out for the employees on different TV's would be a huge help. Be prepared for one of the Di*khead regulars to change the channel without asking if any one is watching what's on only 1 TV in the entire place but his sports event is already on 3 TV's because he can't turn around or NOT sit at the bar! If you're not a regular be prepared to wait until you get noticed. Sitting at the bar is cramped. The food is mediocre. People were just waiting to be seated anywhere. Uncontrolled chaos. I will not go back! Oh....and don't ask about the WiFi...."I don't know the password. Only the...

I've lived fairly close to Fayetteville most of my life and didn't know this place existed. It is hidden back of the DQ on a lower floor of the Quality Inn behind the pool. Went there with family to watch the WVU/ K State basketball game. We had a few beers and nachos. Even a trip to the men's room is entertaining with all the reading material posted strategically above the urinals. The waitress took good care of us. Had a great time. Didn't notice the crocuses coming up going in just at sundown but first thing I saw coming out after dark (see pic). Nice winter surprise. I will be back.

My wife and I stayed at the Quality Inn and Suites. We had our dog with us so dining in most places were out. My wife suggested we try Elliott's Whitewater Bar & Grill. We called in our order and I walked over from our room. The staff were friendly and inviting. I took our food back to our room. Our sandwiches were really good. It is hard to see in the picture but there was a lot of food for a good price. So if you are staying near by and want something good to eat or travelling through, stop in for good value for your money or call in and they will happily have it ready for you.
