It was Saturday around noon and we were in need of some solid hangover food. Lucky for us Pharoah's has some of the best Mediterranean food in the Fayetteville area. This place is in a small strip mall / shopping center with plenty of parking. The exterior has a couple tables for patrons wanting to dine outdoors. Walking in you immediately see the menu and ordering register. Towards the right is a large dining area and further back sits a small market where they sell canned products, hookahs and other dry goods.
BUT, back at the register we decided to go for the Chicken Shawarma and Gyro Wraps + French Fries. We also got sides of their garlic sauce and hot sauce for some additional jazz. Food was made fresh after we ordered and delivered to our table piping hot. The wraps were massive but my intense hunger didn't flinch. We scarfed down the wraps at lightning speed leaving the fries lurking in the trays. Don't worry though, we took good care of them too. Needless to say, our bellies were satisfied and we had made yet another epic lunch decision.
I suggest you make this smart decision the next time hunger strikes, and of course drop a thumbs up on this review for sharing this...
Read moreReally nice size, workers are super nice and polite, it's got the making for a really good family friendly place to relax and come together. Although, my experience with the food was below average, cheaply done for the cost. We had the steak and cheese hogie/sandwich, the pickle fries, and I tried the stuffed grape leaves and first let me say the menu is filled with authentic foreign food selections that I did not try that may be awesome because the stuffed grape leaves to me were really good, different but good. They come with a sauce and not sure if I was eating them like intended but they were great! The pickle fries were cool as well. Not sure if they are prefrozen or prepared fresh but good nun the less. But the steak sandwich come on! It was put together like a middle school cafeteria meal. Nothing like Zorbas on Raeford, Rd shoot not even as good as Subways Philly. Could be done way better with the equipment that kitchen has. I will try again may be once or twice to say I tried the authentic dishes and hopefully it's good but if your not looking to try something outside of your comfort zone then save your money. Cause I've had bologna sandwiches better then their...
Read moreMy parents moved to North Carolina and found this place when it first opened. Initially the place looked like a ghost town. Now a few years later, the owners have been doing great and have hired at least three new staff. The reason? They serve amazing food and they treat you like family. They always ask about my wife and I when my parents visit, the last time I saw them my wife was pregnant and we hadn't been there in over a year but they still remembered my wife and I and asked about the baby. I know that most of my review was about the staff but service is important. Eating out is not just about the food but also the experience. I love my time spent here and I think you will too.
EDIT 8/5/2023:
Not sure what happened but it seems the cleanliness for this place has gone down hill. The server gave us the wrong food. Then told us it was wrong. The rice was way too salty. My wife ordered the chicken gyro platter and it came with pickles. The food is still good but not as good as it used to be. It looks like the owners have neglected the restaurant since they opened the new location. It was fun while it lasted but we’re probably not...
