We were coming back from an out of town funeral on January 7, 2019 and ordered a pizza and wings for pick up. When we got there it was very busy and, from what I can tell, there was only one person working. It took about five minutes for her to get to us at the window and take our payment but we were patient since she was the only one there. About ten minutes later, she came out with a pizza and, while starting to box it, told us that it was burnt and they were going to have to remake it. My husband explained that we were tired from our trip and couldn't wait. He asked for a refund. The employee said that she would put that request in with a manager since one wasn't there at the time and that it could take 1 to 3 days for the refund to get back to my debit card. My husband called today to check on the status (since we did not see it yet on our account). The person who answered on Wednesday, January 9th, at 2:15 PM advised that they were a manager. She then explained that they had put $17 and some change on our pizza hut account towards purchases in the future. My husband explained that we were told the refund would be applied to our debit card and explained that our total was $21.59. The manager then advised that they didn't refund for the wings (even though we were never given those either). My husband explained again that we were not given anything and want the refund to our debit card. The manager put us on hold. I spoke with a male employee about specifics regarding my online order and he assured me the notes would be added to the order placed moments before. When the delivery arrived wrong I called the store. I was placed on hold several times when attempting to request a manager. By the time an employee "Lisa" answered, I was already at the store to return my food. She told me that if I was placed on hold that it was for a good reason, Lisa then proceeded to tell me that they weren't at fault because it was made per the online order even though the employee assured me they would fulfill my request of a flavored crust that wasn't offered on the drop down menu online. I requested to speak with the employee would took my initial phone call or for a manager and she told me that the managers were busy and they could not come speak with me. I threatened to call corporate and then she "found" the person who admitted her spoke with me and processed a refund. He stated he made the notation in big black letters so he didn't know why they didn't add the flavor. When I said I understand mistakes but the other employees are so rude he then stated, "I know." Read moreCompletely dissatisfied with their service. We ordered their new fries and they came completely different from what was advertised or described. They were completely overcooked and inedible. We tried calling the store to inform them however the manager was completely rude and she expected us to drive to the store to get different ones. If we paid to have edible food delivered why would we expect to drive to the store if they made a mistake. Through her rudeness and obnoxious behavior I explained that we will not drive all the way there to return them and requested a refund for just that amount since there were not willing to deliver a fresh batch. She stated once the driver returns with the receipt we'll be charged and there's nothing we can do. I think the credit card company has the last say-so on what gets paid. My recommendation, avoid this Pizza Hut and definitely do not order the fries.
Update: Called the credit card company and had the amount removed from the charge. I'm sure they'll find out once the charge goes through. Like I said, the credit card company has the last say-so. I wouldn't recommend using them, we won't be using them again (our family normally orders about once a week), we'll stick to the others.
