Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Fayetteville

My wife and I frequently order from the Tropical Smoothie Cafe on Andrews Road. Not sure if that will happen again. This Sunday evening we were relaxing during a rainy day enjoying movies in our living room decorated for the holidays trying to decide what we wanted to eat. My wife decided she wanted another Chipotle Ranch Wrap. After the gym yesterday we had wraps for lunch I got the chicken and bacon. Our food arrived and we begin to eat. 10 minutes into the meal my wife shrieks and pulls a piece of wax paper out of her mouth. Obviously I’m immediately on the phone with the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager who halfway through conversation laughed and said it wasn’t me that made the sandwich…….I literally stopped to make sure she was in the same conversation as I was. When I asked her what her name was she says, “Everybody calls me D!” At this point I realize I’m speaking to a child. And asked for a refund. She then says, I can’t get to right now we are kinda busy”. No words can express how outdone I am right now. This is completely unacceptable. I know young folk need to work but the owners of these establishments need to teach their employees what customer service looks and sounds like. Unprofessional, Unpleasant,...

TOO MANY DAMN FLIES! I went twice and flies were crawling on the items to make food with and the smoothie machine as the table where they make the sandwiches with no wrapper to protect them the employees stand there like they don’t even see or hear all the flies I can’t even enjoy my food I’m too busy fanning and they don’t close the items up so that the flies don’t get on the fruits etc.

Flies Kay these things called EGGS. And it’s digusting so the owner needs to find a better way to protect the food and what’s going in the customers bodies. And also teach these employees to speed it up the wait for one smoothie is toooo too long. And they have no enthusiasm. I get there is alot of traffic but I went in there on a day it wasn’t even busy and the flies was just too much to bare I didn’t even eat my food I paid for I threw it out of of fear flies had been laying on the fruit and stuff . They leave the stuff out in the open knowing it’s flies everywhere. I get the staff is young but they need to be taught sanitation. I worked at a restaurant for years and no place serving food should have this great if a fly issue. They can hang things up to attract the bugs like many restaurants do. Been going to this location for a while now and when I first started going to eat here it was great and would earn a 4 star, food is fresh and tastes great. You can customize any smoothie. Price makes it an expensive place if you eat there all the time. That being said, lately they have been getting sandwiches wrong. I always get the same sandwich with honey mustard instead of ranch. One time they gave me a sandwich with regular mustard. I thought whatever might have mis heard me. Then another time I got the sandwich with the lettuce, tomatoe missing. Today I got all the right ingredients but in a wrap and not on sandwich bread. Summary, great fresh food doesn't take too long to get in and out if the line isn't long.
