Must have been a change in ownership and/or their cook. First clue was the woman running the counter has been gone last 3 times. Second is them putting my Teriyaki chicken on top of my rice instead of scooped separately next to it in the container. None of that is really serious. If that was it, I wouldnât even be posting this negative review at all. The problem comes with the third issue, and by far the most disappointing. The quality. The sauce is much thicker than before and tastes like generic bottled teriyaki sauce youâd buy at Safeway. Sad as it is, Iâm done. Been buying here for years and third strike youâre out.
TL;DR - new owners probably. Serious issue: Sauce is bad, like out of a bottle. Minor issue: Bad presentation of food.
My Conclusion: Iâm no longer going to eat here after years of loyal and happy patronage. Not a good fit for me anymore. Maybe others would feel differently. Read my review and make your own decision or try it yourself. Teriyaki chicken is perfectly wholesome and nothing was below basic restaurant standards whatsoever. The sauce is just such a letdown from what it was before. Ty for reading.

Read moreMy boyfriend's, family's and my go to place for the best teriyaki. The prices are fair for the amount of food you get and they have the best lunch specials around in all of Federal Way. We always get the chicken teriyaki lunch special (I sometimes get the eggroll combo lunch special too as the egg roll is huge). We usually substitute with fried rice and it is just so delicious. I have had their spring rolls which is worth the price as it is gigantic. The service here is always friendly as there are two ladies you can be met with, but both are polite and professional.
I do appreciate that they have bottled or canned drinks as well as fountain drinks to enjoy too. The tables here are always clean or cleaned immediately after a patron leaves. Their salad dressing...
Read moreI mainly go here for the sushi. The guy makes it fresh in front of you (except for Mondays) I usually order the Teriyaki Chicken, Gyoza and the shrimp tempura. The prices are reasonable for a teriyaki place. They have a great "chicken bowl" that's pretty good for like $6 with rice & veggies. the staff are okay. not super friendly but not "snobby" either. One thing I did notice on my recent order is that the chicken teriyaki barely had sauce on it :-/ as well as the beef broccoli. so I guess I should order extra sauce next time. I called in my order so my wait time was only like 15-20 minutes. It's okay nothing extraordinary but it's my go-to for teriyaki especially if I'm...
