This is the worst library ever. I had a book due and they said they would call me a few days before it was due but they didnt they called me after they put a fee on my library account for a $1. Like really do they really need one dollar after a few days late. Do they really care about a dollar after we pay taxes. I understand why I would pay a fee after I never turned it in but not a $1 fee because I tuened it in a day late. The lady also gave me attitude when I tried to call her. They left me on hold for 20 minutes and said they would look at my account. Does it take 20 minutes to look up an account. Im just mad and never want to visit this library. I though it was goverment owned but what happened to America the service is getting worse everyday. Why have a library when u just gonna make people pay fines AND taxes for you. Not happy and wont be...
Read moreThis library sits among many trees and a busy, yet calm road. The inside is very clean and open. I love that there are so many large windows that the natural light is everywhere. I do wish there was more art or "community" touches. I think it would give the library more of an identity to the area. It is a public space, however, and that alone is reason enough to utilize and enjoy the library. They also have a very large computer area and plenty of selection in all areas. I hope to visit the maker's space sometime. I was surprised and happy to see that I arrived on one of the days they stay open later. Make sure to check when they close on the day you visit, as times vary. Wi-fi is available, even at times when the library is closed, which worked out really well for me when I arrived too early before they opened and was able to get...
Read moreThe Federal Way Public Library was a bit tricky to find at first since the sign is partially hidden by trees when approaching from one side. Once inside, it was quiet and calm with what seemed like a variety of random services available, though I didn’t explore them in detail. The children’s area is thoughtfully separated, making it a good stop for families. There were plenty of computers available, even on a weekend. Printing is affordable, with $1.50 of free credit per day and reasonable rates at $0.15 for black and white and $0.50 for color. Parking was no issue at all. It was spacious and easy to access. On a sunny day, the lot even felt a little scenic. Overall, it’s a solid local library with a peaceful...
