I usually have such a great time at this location but my last few experiences, the customer service have been so poor it made me frequent this location less and less and sadly , on February 13th around 10:30pm my fatigue with this place hit a peak. I had the worst customer service experience of my life and with out a doubt , from the bartender and the alleged “ manager” on duty I tried to report the issue too . The bartender was so rude upon his initial greeting but my friend and I shrugged it off and decided to continue dining in at the bar . Within the first few minutes the young ladies next to us immediately alerted us to how he was rude to them as well . We were polite and kind to him but he would roll his eyes and mutter under his breath after every question we asked him. His attitude and poor service only got worse as we tried to continue our experience . After we got our appetizers we decided to just get our food to go because we felt unwelcome and noticed the white patrons were treated with smiles and warm greetings while the four of us (who are all black) were not . When I placed my Togo order he talked down to me as if I was stupid when I i asked to make modifications to the meal I wanted and after I placed my ordered he rolled his eyes and with a twisted lip , began to mutter out the side of his mouth , but this time I saw him . Naturally I canceled not even five minutes later because I couldn’t trust that man near my food no longer .I told him and he got upset and said “Dude it’s too late your food is almost done “ even tho I almost immediately canceled . After he took the item off of our bill , he threw the receipt at me . In shock and in disbelief I watched the receipt float on too the bar top ( I encourage the owners to watch the cameras , I wish I made it up ). At that point I was offended , confused and embarrassed that man treated me like that. Complete strangers were upset at how he treated me as well. My friend continued his order reluctantly and the person who brought his food said she was a manager and if she was , she needs to be retrained or demoted . That young lady proceeded to walk away after she dropped off the food and I stopped her and asked for a manager , she told me she was one . Unfortunately after I told her my experience , she didn’t address his treatment to us , she only defended his behavior and let us know it was because I cancelled my order that he had acted this way. They both are the reason I’ll let everyone I know not to dine at this location at all . Service and management are absolute garbage and sadly to say , racist . The young ladies I meant tonight were first time customers and I encouraged them never to come this location and maybe try the Detroit location but sadly , this type of customer service may be a company standard. Dine elsewhere folks ,...

9/25/2025: Returned last night and had a bit of a sad meal, unfortunately. The wings and pickles were really good as usual, but each of our entrees had issues. The schnitzel which we always loved was served as a special this time with undercooked cubed flavorless potatoes, an odd "side" that tasted like spinach artichoke dip, and sauerkraut, along with a pretzel like breadstick. Kind of an odd hodgepodge of food, and we REALLY missed the mashed potatoes and green beans that used to come with this dish. The schnitzel and kraut were good but those other sides honestly seemed like repurposed leftovers. No bueno. My fish and chips were pretty great, but my coleslaw was warm and...sour. They did bring me a new one that was cold but still sour. Like...quite possibly had gone bad. I fear the quality may be slipping, and we won't rush back. The service is always good and people are friendly; it's a fun vibe. I'm kind of bummed because I really liked this place.

Previous: Returned recently and had a really great dinner. Their menu has some really great options right now - it was hard to choose!

Drinks: I ordered the Fall Fizz, and even though hubby was tempted by all the whiskey and beer options, he just went with a Two-Hearted. The fizz was delightful - I thought it might be too sweet, but it absolutely wasn't. So refreshing.

Food: I ordered the pork schnitzel and hubby had the fwanch deep. Order. The. Schnitzel. It's at the top of the entree list for a reason. You get 2 huge pieces of perfectly fried pork cutlet, the most amazing, buttery mashed potatoes, and garlicky homestyle green beans. I practically licked the plate and had enough to share with hubby. We will return just for that. The fwanch deep was also delicious - tender, savory beef on a soft roll with delicious jus, melty cheese, served with perfect homemade fries. Yum. We also started with the fire roasted wings, which were so good. Hubbu is hard to please with wings, and these were perfectly roasted, crispy and sweet.

I will say that they tried to seat us in the back next to the bathrooms where there was no one else really sitting...no thanks. It's so lively up front, so we definitely asked to sit there, and there was no problem.

Love Betty's and will...

Had dinner here last night and had a terrible experience. When we were sat it was an hour before closing, although when the host to sat us we were not aware of that and the restaurant was full so we didn’t think twice about being there. We proceeded to sit at the table for 30 more minutes until someone came over and said he’d bring us waters, they didn’t arrive for 15 more minutes. He came back to take our order and said oh we’re about to close but I can put your order in so we promptly ordered. 15 more minutes went by before we got our drinks. Sat there for 20 minutes more and finally was able to get our servers attention to which he said he would check with the kitchen. He came back to tell us that for some reason he only rang in one of the entrées we ordered and would ask the kitchen to make the other items. When the two of the three items came out we realized that they didn’t make the third item that we ordered so one of the people in our party was left with only an appetizer to eat for their dinner. When we inquired as to if we could order the third item he said I’m sorry we’re out of chicken, we should have been told this when we ordered. Not much of an apology was offered no rectification of the situation was offered. I’ve been to other locations for this restaurant and they are much better. I don’t think we will return to this location.

I have worked in the service industry for a long time and have a lot of forgiveness for servers when they are very visibly busy as to making mistakes as long as an apology is offered. The server in this case was nowhere to be found and many tables had to ask other employees if they could even get...

Our first time dining here and it was wonderful from beginning to end! The decor is artsy with a fun vibe. We visited on a Saturday night around 6:30 pm and didn’t wait more than 30 minutes for a table. Our server, (Derrick, hope I didn’t misspell his name), was extraordinary! Friendly, personable, attentive (but not over the top), great sense of humor! We started with drinks and the white fish dip and Cajun chips, it was to die for! Could have eaten it all night! My brother in law loved his burger, sister in law loved her salmon, husband loved his chicken dish and I had the pork schnitzel which is the reason I gave 4 stars. It was rather dry (yes I wanted gravy on the side), but I actually prefer my schnitzel “wetter” through the cooking process. I think the breading needs to be tweaked. That being said, it was good but didn’t live up to my expectations. The green beans were fabulous and I chose to have onion rings instead of mashed potatoes. They were enormous and perfectly fried. Took home donuts which we will try tomorrow (I’m sure they will be delicious!) We celebrated my brother in laws birthday there and he was thrilled as were the rest of us! One Eyed Betty’s is run like a well oiled machine with a great vibe, well trained staff, reasonable prices and overall delicious cuisine!! Will definitely return!
