OH MY GOODNESS!!! I RECEIVED A LARGE CONTAINER TO GO FILLED TO THE BRIM WITH SUPER FRESH SUPER DELICIOUS SEAFOOD PREPARED JUST RIGHT!!!

LET ME JUST ILLUSTRATE FOR YOU A LITTLE BIT ABOUT WHAT I MEAN BY A L O T OF SEAFOOD, OK?

JUST SO THERE’S NO MISUNDERSTANDING!

I ATE AND ATE AND A T E (UNTIL I JUST COULDN’T EAT ANY MORE!!!!) THIS DELICIOUS SEAFOOD WITH E N D L E S S CHUNKS OF PERFECTLY BATTERED AND FRIED TO PERFECTION JUICY FLAKY MASSIVE HUNKS OF DELICIOUS FRIED HADDOCK, GENEROUSLY SIZED PLUMP SHRIMP, DELICIOUS SCALLOPS AND A GENEROUS PORTION (I THOUGHT ON A MULTI SEAFOOD PLATTER!) OF ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY DELICIOUS AND DECADENT WHOLE BELLY FRIED CLAMS! (MY FAVE BESIDES LOBSTER!!!) I also opted for onion rings, extra coleslaw and a small clam on the side!

DO YOU KNOW THAT AFTER I ATE TILL I JUST ABOUT POPPED I BROUGHT MY MOTHER THE REST WHICH AFTER IT WAS HALF GONE *STILL HAD MORE SEAFOOD THAN MOST OTHER PLACES!!!!!

SHE LOVED IT AND ABSOLUTELY. R A V E D ABOUT THE FRESHNESS OF THE SHRIMP MARVELLING, REPEATEDLY SAYING SHE DIDNT KNOW IF SHE EVER HAD SHRIMP THAT FRESH BEFORE AND THAT THEY TASTED LIKE THEY WERE RIGHT OUT OF THE SEA!!! WHICH I AGREED, THEY, LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE WAS SO FRESH AND SO DELICIOUS WITH SUCH EXCELLENT PORTIONS!

S U P E R S U P E R FRESH AND COOKED TO P E R F E C T I O N BY VERY HARD WORKING PEOPLE WHO TRY THEIR BEST TO GIVE YOU THE BEST! SO, EVEN THOUGH THIS WAS MY VERY FIRST TIME HERE (BOY HAVE I BEEN MISSING OUT!!!) I WANT TO SAY TRY IT ! YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY!!!

NO ONE ELSE COMPARES AND NO ONE ELSE CAN COMPETE P E R I O D!

LET ME GIVE YOU ANOTHER EXAMPLE! THEY PUT 16 OZ OF CLAMS IN THEIR LARGE CLAM!!! INCREDIBLE!!!!!!

BELIEVE ME I HAD CALLED MANY OTHER PLACES AND NO ONE PUT A WHOLE POUND OF SHUCKED CLAMS INTO THEIR LARGE CLAM!

AND NEXT TIME (SOON!) I’M EITHER GETTING THE LARGE CLAM OR THE CAPTAINS PLATTER WHICH IS SIMPLY U N B E L I E V A B L E AS IT HAS E V E R Y T H I N G THE SEAFOOD PLATTER HAS BUT ALSO AN ADDITIONAL 4OZ OF DEEP FRIED LOBSTER CHUNKS ON TOP OF ALL OF T H A T !!!

AND OF COURSE I DEFINITELY WANT TO TRY THEIR LOBSTER ROLL SOMETIME!

I WAS JUST RAVING ABOUT SS LOBSTER TO A YOUNG MAN I KNOW AND HE IMMEDIATELY BECAME V E R Y ANIMATED EVEN THOUGH HE IS NORMALLY SOMEWHAT LAID BACK EXCLAMING “OH MY GOODNESS I L O V E SS LOBSTER IN FITCHBURG!!! MY FAMILY AND I ALWAYS GO THERE! IT IS SOOOO GOOD!!!”

BTW I ALSO ENDED UP BRIEFLY SPEAKING WITH THE COOK AND OFFERING MY PRAISES AND HE OF COURSE ALSO WAS SUPER, SUPER NICE! PEOPLE NEVER STOPPED GOING IN AND OUT OF THIS PLACE!!! SO THEY ARE S U P E R S U P E R BUSY SO PLEASE BE NICE TO THESE FOLKS, THEY WORK SUPER HARD MAKING A DELICIOUS MEAL FOR YOU IN AS TIMELY A MANNER AS POSSIBLE SO PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT !

BUT THIS PLACE IS BUSY FOR A REASON !!!! SO I AM ALSO TRYING TO CONTINUE TO LET THE SECRET OUT ABOUT THIS GEM OF A PLACE BY LEAVING THIS REVIEW SO Y O U DON’T MISS OUT ANY MORE EITHER IF YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN HERE OR TRIED THEM BEFORE!

I HAVE BECOME SOMEWHAT OF A SEAFOOD “AFICIONADO” WHEN IT COMES TO FRESH AND DELICIOUSLY WELL PREPARED MOUTH WATERING SEAFOOD STARTING WITH GROWING UP GOING UP TO MAINE EVERY SUMMER WHERE ALL THE FOLKS THAT LIVED ON THIS MAINE ISLAND WERE VIRTUALLY ALL EITHER LOBSTERMEN OR FISHERMEN. AND LET ME TELL YOU, DIGGING FRESH CLAMS RIGHT ON THE BEACH AND HAVING COOKOUTS WITH ALL THE SUPER FRESH “RIGHT OUT OF THE SEA” FRESH LOBSTER, CLAMS ETC THAT WAS AMAZING!!

YOU MAY FIND (M A Y B E) A PLACE AS GOOD AS SS LOBSTER S O M E W H E R E BUT I WOULD ASTONISHED TO FIND ONE THAT WAS BETTER!!!

First and foremost, I have always been a patron of S.S. Lobster. I hadn't been in a while, but recently went and feel that I need to share my experience. I looked up their hours of operation and realized that they were closing at 8pm and it was already 7pm. I called in my order and was told it would be ready in 25-30 minutes. When I arrived, there were 3 people in line placing orders. The first person had already placed their order and was waiting. The second person placed their order and was standing by. The third placed his order and was waiting as well. I told the the girl at the counter that I called in my order, gave her my name and proceeded to pay for my order. In the meantime, time has passed and the establishment is in the process of closing. Everyone in the line is complaining about the wait, (Keep in mind there are two young (16-18 yo girls and 45-55 yo msn working the fryer) and becoming unruly. One man started making noises, and when a waitress stopped what she was doing to tend to him, he turned around like he didn't make a noise to get her attention. Childish, yet these poor girls acted with dignity and brushed it off. Another came to the counter complainingbthatcthe girl isn't at the counter and she needs more tartar sauce. People this restaurant has top notch food. If the wait is more than expected, understand it's because people know they are getting fair priced quality food here. Above all please never, never, take your frustration out on the staff. They are literally doing more than expected of them and still respond with dignity and class. If it was your daughter/son working at a high paced establishment, you certainly wouldn't accept her being disrespected or harassed while giving his or her best to serve the public. They were absolutely nothing less than perfection in terms of service while I watched them being treated rudely by the public. I gave a little extra for a tip that night and quite frankly is wasn't nearly what they deserved. People please respect your restaurant staff. They work far harder...

Today we ordered lunch to go. After paying and sitting in our vehicle to eat we noticed that there was no napkins, plastic utensils, ketchup and tarter sauce with our order. My wife went back in and now had 8 people in line in front of her. She went to the cashier and asked for the missing items. The cashier told her to get in the back of the line, she then explained again that nothing was given to us with our order we just picked up. The cashier got even more rude and said to get in the back of the line. My wife who is 72 was so upset and appalled at her attitude that she walked out. We ate with our fingers and ended up throwing most of our food out in the parking lot. What the hell kind of business treats there customers like this? Instead she should have apologized and immediately given us the missing items. We have been coming here and average of 3 times a month for over the past 20 years ($$$$) and have never remotely experienced this kind of rude behavior as shown today by this women. We will not come back for the remainder of this year and if she is still there next year we will never set foot in this place again. I see by the recent reviews that her rude behavior has been experienced by others as well. One other note was that these 8 people were not wearing their masks and were standing less that 1 foot apart. From the ordering window to the door is maybe 10 feet max. so NO social distancing was being observed even though it was clearly marked on the door. There are much better seafood places to dine in the area and you wont be treated with such poor...
