I hate to pile on during Covid.. but today was too comical. My wife and I have rewards with DQ and on many occasions we've been told that 'the scanner isn't working'. One time, a manager over rode the price, every other time we just walked out and drove up to the Arden location (5.8 miles out of the way) who does have a working scanner. Today, through the drive thru, we were asked, via the drive-thru speaker, to come to the window 'because the drive- thru speaker wasn't working'.. When we got to the window we were told that their scanner wasn't working.. I asked if they could make me a chocolate chip mint blizzard and was told that they had no mint and no chocolate chips. I noticed through the window, working the front counter, was the guy who helped me about 2-3 weeks ago. 2-3 weeks ago, he was able to scan my reward AND make me a chocolate chip mint blizzard. So I decided to go into the store to place my order. He was standing next to a woman, maybe the manager?, who when I asked about honoring the reward, told me that the scanner was broken. He tried scanning the bar code on my phone, apparently it didn't work, and the woman said that the scanner might be fixed by tomorrow. When I asked the guy about making a chocolate chip mint blizzard.. he tells me that they can't make it because there's no button to order it. When I asked the woman, she asked the blizzard maker if they had mint,, she said YES and that she also had CHOCOLATE CHIPS!!! So she made my blizzard correctly... but apparently forgot the fudge in my wife's Sea Salt Toffee fudge blizzard.. I understand things are rough.. but I was the only customer and I saw at least 4 employees. If it's not too far out of your way.. you'll probably have better luck at the Hendersonville Road...

I've been consistently coming to this location for a few years now and the food and service, up until today, had been constantly above quality standards. Unfortunately, today, there was a completely new crew and they are clearly incompetent and have a severe lack of on-the-job training. My fries were too salty and cold, neither my nor my brother's hamburgers were made correctly, the Dr. Pepper tasted like the syrup bag in the back was empty and in need of replacing, and the trash can was overflowing. I also got the $7.00 meal deal, but never received my ice cream that comes with it. This is a disgrace to the gas station, Dairy Queen, and the Fletcher community and Sheetz will inevitably put them out of business once they are fully built with their MTO burgers if this shoddy service continues. This business seriously needs to do what ever it takes to get the old crew back in, give them a wage increase or what-ever else they want because the new crew just isn't cutting it. I could have bought frozen "White House" sliders from Ingles grocery store and had a better meal!!! Heck, I avoid McDonald's, next door, like the plague and even they typically have better food and service than what I had from Dairy Queen tonight. Seriously.....step up your game! Sheetz is coming to town and they don't play around! At the level of food quality and service I got tonight, you'll be out of business in less than a month...
Read moreI came here last Wednesday 5/8 and had put in a mobile order beforehand. Was told at the drive- thru that they couldn’t make it because they were short staffed and were closing early while 4 people were standing right there looking at me. I requested a refund and was told they didn’t have a manager or a number to call and no control over this. I called a customer service number I found online and was told I would have a refund within 3-4 business days. It’s been a week now and still no refund. I now received an email saying that the owner of this store has to approve the refund which is opposite what I was told at the store. It may not seem like a lot of money to some but for a single mom every little bit counts. I will never be eating here again. Update: it has now been 2 weeks and I was told by an assistant manager at the store that they are the ones that should have given the refund but had no manager to do it. She said she would have the district manager who was to be there last week give the refund and call me. Still haven’t received it or heard anything. They also refuse to answer the phone at the store and the voicemail is full. have called DQ fan relations a third time and still no refund.
