My husband and I would eat here regularly at the Cloverdale Rd. location. We would always order the same thing; carbonara pasta and chicken parm. It WAS really good, but the last two times we had horrible experiences. We ordered late one evening and took it home. When we tried to eat the pasta it was soooo spicy we couldn't eat it, literally burning my mouth amd lips. The restaurant was closed by this time. I called the next day, spoke to the manager Lisa, who was super nice. She apologized and gave us a gift receipt for our next meal. We ordered the same thing last night.... took it home. We were missing a $7 side salad and the bread for the pasta. Called them up and the girl had an attitude, insisting she put it in the bag, I believe her name was Brooke. She said we can come back up there to get it after trying to prove it wasnt in the bag... We asked for a credit. We then opened the pasta--- it was made wrong. Called back again, spoke to Tom, the manager. With attitude he said "Come back, I'll make it again for you, but if you dont like it, you can't order with us anymore." I am not sure if they have new cooks, but there is no consistency and this place is expensive for pasta, but we still continued to eat here. I took the pasta back and asked for a refund. All we were asking for is some sort of consistency and customer service. I've never been told that if I dont like the way its made, not to come back. Thats ridiculous. Read moreHad some friends visit and we decided to go out to eat. I asked if they had ever had Italian Beef similar to what you get in the Chicago area when they said they would like something different for a change. So with a "no", off we went. I told my guest that was going to order the Italian Beef sandwich that the last couple times I had been, they had been a little skimpy on the cheese so I would be ordering extra cheese. She did also. When the food arrived, it was definitely not extra, as a matter of fact, it was even less than what I had got the last couple times. When I asked the waitress if it was supposed to be extra, she answered yes. I'm was totally floored. It was also on a night that they had live music which I had always been earlier in the day on my visits and had never been during live music occasions. My other guest ordered one of the pasta dishes and said it was good. So based on the quality of the 'Chicago-style' Italian Beef sandwich having been going downhill over the last several visits, not only was our request for extra cheese not honored but the meat was tough, I only ate half because of that, couldn't force myself to eat the other half. The music was so loud you couldn't hear what was being said at the table. My guests were not impressed so they will not be returning and neither will I since this is the only item I ever ordered at this restaurant. Read moreThis place has so much potential but it has the absolute worst costumer service I’ve ever experienced. I am in executive leadership in my organization…I get leadership. This place has none. I spend hundreds of dollars a month here. I have ordered pizza 3 times in a very short span and at the pick up time the pizza had not been started. Today I had a pick up order for 4:45. They forgot to put the order in and assured me that they would have it to me in 7 minutes as I had students that needed to be fed before dismissal. 20 minutes later I asked to speak to the manager. He explained that the kitchen dropped on of the pizzas. I expressed frustration with the last several experiences including the fact that it was now after dismissal and I had placed the order an hour and a half ago. The restaurant was nearly empty. There was no acceptable excuse. He blankly looked at me and said “sorry”.” I’m sorry” is crazy!!! Not you’re right this is unacceptable how can I make this right? Not let me comp your order? Not let me give you a refund…”I’m sorry”. Multiple employees were hanging out on the patio with friends. The bar tender is the only person in the restaurant working.
