If youāve ever driven down Cox Creek in Florence, AL, youāve probably noticed Lizzieās Place Coffee tucked along the way. Iāve passed it many times, always eyeing it and telling myself I should stop in one day. Well, today I finally did, and Iām glad I didāit turned out to be a really chill, laid-back, and comfortable coffee spot thatās worth checking out.
The atmosphere here is inviting and relaxed, exactly the kind of vibe you want when grabbing a coffee to recharge or just hang out. The seating feels very comfy and cozy, with plenty of options to settle into. What stood out to me were the swinging chairs, which not only look cool but make the place feel fun and unique compared to other coffee shops in the area.
As for the drinks, Lizzieās has a nice selection of coffee and fun specialty options to choose from. The coffee I tried was solid and well-made, definitely something Iād come back for when Iām in the area. Itās the kind of place where you can sip your drink slowly, enjoy the space, and not feel rushed.
One thing I wasnāt as impressed with, though, was the biscotti. It came wrapped and didnāt taste as fresh as the homemade biscotti you find at some other local spots. For a place with such a cozy, community-style atmosphere, I think offering fresh, homemade biscotti or pastries would elevate the experience even more. That said, everything else I noticedāfrom the setup to the serviceāwas on point.
The staff was friendly and welcoming, which added to the cozy feel of the cafĆ©. Itās the kind of place where you can come to get a boost of energy, do some work, or just relax and socialize with friends.
Overall, Lizzieās Place Coffee is a cool little gem on Cox Creek. With its comfy seating (especially those swinging chairs), good drinks, and friendly vibe, itās definitely worth stopping in. If they ever switch to homemade biscotti or more fresh pastry options, this place could easily become one of the best coffee stops...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLizzie's has such delicious coffee and it's one of my favorite places to just chill with a book and a nice coffee on my days off. I'm not a black coffee person. I like frozen coffee drinks that taste like coffee but not too much and aren't sickeningly sweet. Everything I have ever tried there has been delicious except the one time I tried a the Nutella smores as a hot drink. It felt too small compared to the iced or blended drinks and just didn't taste nearly as good in my opinion and I wasn't a fan of the cup. Ever since, I have stuck with the iced or frozen drinks, and they have been delicious. It's not like fast food places that taste like syrup and are way too sweet. You can even ask them to lower the sweetness if you want. I love their seasonal drinks which keeps me coming back. My favorite so far was the Tiramisu for Valentine's day. I typically don't like chocolate based drinks because they taste like hershey's syrup and are just gross but I took my chance on this one and it was amazing. Tasted like fudge sauce and homemade. I also had their Easter bunny frappe as well. Their service is always great too and they have lots of flavors to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is such a cute little coffee shop. The speciality frappes and cream sodas are wonderful and the Florentine egg bites were piping hot, incredibly soft, and delicious. I've been a few times already and the blonde lady that always takes my order is so helpful and patient while I try to make decisions and even super friendly when helping me make a custom flavored frappe this last time.
The vibes are so welcoming and cozy and the music is soft enough to give it a perfect relaxing ambiance especially if you get to soak up some warmth on the couch in the sun like a little sunbathing cat or hang in the egg chairs in the back. They offer plenty of table space and outlets for laptops and charging while studying and even stayed open until midnight for the exam week for the college students! I really appreciate the consistent sweetness of my frappes and great recommendations and we will definitely continue...
