Swampers Bar & Grille — Restaurant in Florence

The food and service used to be excellent here, but it’s slowly declined over the years. We have eaten here many times over the years. Birthdays, celebrations, parties, and we also have thanksgiving here every year. Today is my mothers birthday and it’s probably going to be the last trip for a while.

My brother got the Greek chicken ($25) and while it looked and tasted good, it was literally a chicken thigh. Very small portion. I got the Swampers burger pink and it came out well done and dry. The hoagie bun was a nice touch though. The fries were lukewarm and mostly brown. My son got a flatbread pizza, and while he said it was good he also stated it wasn’t very warm and seemed like it had been sitting a while. (Probably under a hot light)

My wife ordered the wings and she said they were good, but not hot. Apparently the salmon was good, but I didn’t try it.

Our server seemed new and admitted she wasn’t usually a server, but she did a good job making sure we had what we needed.

The local music in the background is nice and the beer was cold. Overall a great atmosphere but the food needs to be brought back up to what it once was, and...

I was taking a trip to Florence for Independence Day. now me and the fam were feeling a bit hungry so we saw Swampers and gave it a chance. Looked good enough for our empty stomachs. We immediately were served with a great atmosphere and live music. I decided to go with my gut and get the pork quesadillas. Now i cannot speak on behalf of the drink department because i brought my own h20 beverage. But the quesadillas get a solid 8/10 for me on the 1-10 scale. nice and crisp. pork cooked to perfection. It was served with guacamole and a sample of the homemade pico. Now if I had one thing to say about it- getting down to the brass tacks…the tables were a bit small for our party. But that’s just me getting nit-picky. So overall this establishment gets a 8.5/10. or a 4:5 on the google rating. Overall a great experience and I highly recommend anyone traveling to or through this area to come on in and have some great food in a great atmosphere with live music… and fishies! yes! fish. they’ve got...

The wait was long. I finally get setted and then it was 20 minutes before my order was taken. We ordered 2 drinks and 2 waters and it was at that point where it all went to hell. We got the waters but waited over an hour to receive our food and still have not received our drinks. After about 1 1/2 hours the food came but still no drinks. After we finished dinner our drinks finally arrived and one of them was made wrong twice and my drink had no alcohol so it had to be redone as well. We ordered a piece of cheesecake and it took 30 minutes to arrive. They were not busy so I don't understand why this experience was so bad. So ordering two appetizers one meal and two drinks my bill was 98.00 dollars and I got no apologies or discounts or anything for the horrible service that we received. I will not come back and I'm going to fight to make sure no one else comes...
