I gave this park a 4, just because it's a really nice park, however the restrooms were pretty nasty, and the electricity that was supposed to be on by the time of our Church picnic was NOT. One of the organizers had to call to get it turned on. There had been a power outage in that area the day before and the breaker was on a timer, which may have caused the delay. Still, Veterans Park is a great place to hold a medium sized event. Just be sure to get a pavilion that is not close to another event or parking could also be a problem. The park has a few different playgrounds, many covered picnic Pavillion areas, tennis courts, a ball field, disc golf, etc. A great place for birthday parties or other gatherings. The park is clean and well kept, but the bathroom isn't always unlocked and the times it has been it's not been cleaned. That's my only complaint.
