The quality of the food at Antojitos is simply exceptional. The authentic and flavorful dishes are a true delight for the palate. If you visit this place, you cannot miss the alcapurrias and mofongo, two culinary delights that will transport you straight to the Caribbean beaches. The alcapurrias, with their crispy exterior and juicy filling, are simply addictive. Sylvita, Eli, and Madanis tried them and are already hooked. And as Joni says, they have a perfect 20/20 vision (or, in other Puerto Rican words, they are not blind). As for the mofongo, with its blend of flavors and textures, it's a genuine showcase of tropical culinary richness. It's also family-approved.
And if you wish to refresh yourself with something sweet and exotic, the limbers and natural tropical-flavored juices are the perfect choice…...
Read moreI recently bought 2 crab alcapurrias and they weren't "traditional" alcapurrias at all. I was highly disappointed. They were mostly plantain and a bit on the burned side (very dark) but not crispy. And on numerous occassions I have bought mofongo with either churrasco or another meat and the mofongo lacks chicken stock and the traditional pork grinds. The "stock" that they use is from whatever meat they cook for your plate which is usually a lot of liquid on the plate. The main thing these guys should correct is not placing the side salad on the same plate as the mofongo because the liquid from whatever meat you order for your plate instantly ruins the side salad. I think the menu has a lot of "good items" by name but it lacks Puerto Rican flavors, seasoning, and it seems as if the food is cooked by people from other countries. Not bad food, just not "traditional". It lacks something Puerto Rican... And also, I HATE THE FROZEN...
Read moreBRUTAL!!!!!! So Awesome!!! Super authentic to true Puerto Rican style of cooking…. Great pricing as you can see on the pic of the menu. Really cheap for the quality of food. You have to check it out. Right behind the Dennis in Brandon Fl. And for all the people complaining about waiting. I know we can agree all agree that is worth the wait. The only reason for the wait is that everything gets done fresh from scratch. It’s not something being microwaved or reheated like every fast food restaurant and most restaurants nowadays. To be made on the spot for you as if you had a personal chef cooking for you that’s priceless and you can’t beat that. Plus there’s tables to sit around very nice atmosphere to just have some quality time with family or friends. If your in a rush you can order ahead and just pick it up or...
