My wife and I were there this morning for the first time. We have a place just down the road. I ordered the $6.89 skillet with sausage, mushrooms, tomato, and cheese. My wife ordered the Skye biscuit. We got our food. After a few bites I thot, there is something missing. There was No sausage! I told the waitress and she said she would check with the boss ( who turned out to be the owner). I told her I would just eat it since I did not want to wait further. But I asked could they adjust the bill. She said the boss would take care of it at the register. As a side note, my wife said her meal was luke warm and the cheese was a cheese sauce and not real cheese ( as I could see). She said it was not very good. At the register the owner was there. He told the cashier to take .89 cents off the bill! WHAT! I was thinking! To get an extra choice of meat on the skillet would have been $1.69. And I did not get any meat at all! To top it off neither the owner nor the waitress was the least bit apologetic for the error in the order. I can't recommend this place until they realize that they are there to serve the customer and would like to keep customers. ...

The Biscuit Barn is a local favorite, not looking much like the sort of restaurant a tourist might select, and no "designer" menu, but if you enjoy homemade vittles in generous quantities, particularly for breakfast and lunch, you come on in, you hear! There is plenty of off street parking, most of it not paved. All sit down dining with wait service at both tables and the counter. I have uploaded pictures of the entire menu along with 4 of the breakfast menu items. Everyone in my group enjoyed their meal. It's not the cheapest breakfast place and it is far from being the most expensive; it's not a $ or a $$ in price. It's more like a $++. Wait staff was very friendly. They accept Master Card and Visa and cash only; Diners Club, AMEX and Discover aren't accepted because the merchant fees are too high for the small businesses. The bacon was so tasty; thick cut, not too salty, maybe with some maple or honey in...

A true diner! Excellent food and excellent service in a real dining atmosphere. I have only tried half the menu here and still haven’t found anything that I don’t like. My favorite is the massive pork tenderloin sandwich with mashed potatoes and brown gravy. But their eggs are amazing, hash browns delicious and their biscuits are wonderful. The skillets are massive and they let you pick what kind of potato’s you want, how you’d like your eggs and then topping to put on top of all of that like cheese, bacon, onions, etc. Everything here is consistently good and don’t forget to try one of their massive cinnamon rolls- so good.

Everything is cooked to order and comes out hot and fresh. In late fall/winter they have Friday night dinners- the cabbage rolls are amazing and the sauce that they are cooked is delectable!

Guaranteed to never leave hungry- Don’t miss...

Came in here Sunday before heading to Tampa after being recommended to come here. There was a five minute wait which really is not bad considering I’ve waited longer for places for breakfast. We sat down and our waitress was friendly and sweet. The coffee here is the best place in Homosassa I’ve had so far. I know it sounds silly to say but when a place has good coffee I know it cant be to bad. We got our food. I got the breakfast burrito and my boyfriend got a Mexican omelette. Both were great, a lot of cheese in the burrito but not to much that I didn’t want to finish it just more than I thought. The biscuit is huge! I wasn’t expecting that. So if you order it be prepared for that. It was good. I thought it would be buttermilk but its sadly not. Overall this place is a pretty good gem in area, and the prices are great.

I thought it was a bit dirty to charge an extra 3.99% on top of the meal for use of a debit card. That's something that people should know prior to ordering not when paying the bill. The food was good and the waitress was very pleasant and efficient. There were four of us in our party two children and two adults. We ordered an egg with a piece of bacon and a piece of toast for the baby and she seemed to really enjoy it. My older granddaughter got the hamburger and fries she loved it. My daughter had a breakfast burrito and a side of grits. She didn't like that the potatoes had the skin on them but she loved the grits. I ordered the biscuit with three sides a potato salad fried okra and cooked apples. The biscuit was very big and tasted much better than a lot of places.
