Basilico's Original Hand-Tossed Pizza — Restaurant in Florida

This was my first time trying Basilico's I heard great reviews and was in the mood for good pizza. I ordered a large pizza with mushrooms for pickup I paid with my card over the phone and was instructed to call once I arrived and wait outside by the table in front. I was told on the phone it would take 20 minutes and I arrived exactly at 20 minutes because I wanted my pizza to be fresh and hot. I called when I arrived and waited by the outside table. Many people were picking up their orders and the employees weren't confirming people's names or order details. People were walking up receiving orders and walking away... I think my pizza was given to someone else. Because I waited an extra 10 minutes and I still hadn't received my pizza. I called to find out what was the hold up... The lady said my pizza was still in the oven and would be done in 3 minutes. When I received my pizza a total of 35 minutes later everything looked ok... Once I got home and had my first slice I wasn't impressed with the taste at all. The crust was hard too hard to eat and it seemed like it was a pie that was premade and then heated back up after the mushrooms were added. The sauce was also very acidic and overall for the $17+ dollars I spent was not worth it. I had better tasting pizza that costs less at other locations. First timers. Let’s say that this place is a Zoo. And that’s a Zoo as a compliment. I didn’t expect to see as much traffic coming in and out of this place. I’ve been going to Kobosco’s for ice cream with my wife, and I keep letting her know that one day I want to come here and try their pizza. Although Pizza was not first in my mind today, I asked the young lady at the counter, what are the go to entrees at this place. She first said Chicken Parmigiana, then she said Chicken Francaise. And she mentioned a few after that. Those were the two meals we ordered. My wife loved the Chicken francaise and the Chicken Parm was a HR for me too. Definitely the place will get a revisit and more. The owner Sal looks to be a personable person. He likes to greet others as they come into his establishment. Greeting like that go a long way. I did say to him, my review would probably make any difference in the traffic coming into this place. This place is really a hit. It looks like it will be a go to spot for us now. Not being in Jersey now, and not being able to find places like this that often. I feel that we hit a goldmine. Nice atmosphere and I see they also have outside dining tables. But that can wait for cooler nights. Go enjoy this place, they have many items to offer. ...

Went back to this location after a VERY bad experience at a new pizza restaurant in Royal Palm and these guys are a class act! They go out of their way to make sure that their customers are satisfied! Other restaurants need to visit this one learn how to treat their clientele. Thank you Basilico’s! It’s not hard to believe these guys have been here for so long. Seems like yesterday when they opened and they have been awesome through the years! This is the place to go for pizza if you live in the Wellington area! Not only is the pizza like home, with fresh ingredients, crispy and chewy crust and cooked to perfection, but the folks who work here are just nothing but amazing! Happy people work here! Ordered my pizza crispy with extra sauce and it came out perfect and, without asking, the ladies at the front gave me extra sauce to take with me! These folks the best!
