I called in to order dinner like my wife and I always do every week and Jennifer answered the phone. Every week I pay for my order with my credit card including the tip over the phone. Apparently the manager wants to cut down on this at least that is what I was told inside the restaurant when I picked up my order, however when Jennifer was rushing me off the phone, I asked if I Could pay for this over the phone like I always do. She nastily said no and hung up. Food taste and quality aside, I don’t get treated like this at any of the chain restaurants in the area. EDIT: I bumped the review up to a 2. Also, shortly after my review posted, I received a call from the restaurant which I missed. A VM was left, and honestly, I deleted it without listening to it. I probably should have listened to it, but I’m just tired of the young people that work in there with little communication skills and unappreciative of their customers, and quite frankly, an apology or a discount on future food or whatever won’t change that. I tip them $6-$7 every week for a single pie order when really, the cooks should get it and not the spoiled kids that seem to always be hanging around the register not doing much. (at least any time I’m in there briefly). I’ve previously written an unflattering review and the owner Ava(sorry if the spelling is wrong) made a nice effort to make things right the next order, however I didn’t follow through on my next visit to let her know I was there. The phones are a BIG PROBLEM. The restaurant was closed the entire weekend of the 4th. When you called to place an order, the phone message said, unable to take your order, please call back in 30 minutes. Which I did. Got the same message. So I drove there only to find a sign on the door. Unbelievable, Do you really want to run a business or what? The kicker was when I called and sat on hold FOR 35 MINUTES waiting as the phone message hung at caller two. I walked into the restaurant with my phone in my hand still on hold and placed my order over the counter!!! I said I’m on hold here on my phone! The kid says, oh we don’t answer the phones and the person that knows about the phone system isn’t in tonight. I almost demanded to see the own then, but was afraid my wife would have to bail me out of jail. Food may be ok, but this place is screwed up and not worth my aggravation to...
Read moreY'all need to go on FB and check out Charlotte County Eats to see some honest reviews from locals regarding Bella Napoli.
EDITING this because I'm not so sure the owner read my review properly. My experience was NOT UP TO PAR like the owner states. I didn't feel very welcomed throughout my dining experience.I merely mentioned I might try y'all again because it might have been an off day but from talking with others and your comment which did not address my situation at all, maybe not, and it's the norm.
This was my first time dining here. Walked in and after the young man stared at me for a few seconds, I asked if I had to be seated. He informed me that there were single high seats at the bar. I sat in the bar area, choosing a table, as workers eating at two of them, got up and left. Maybe I was supposed to sit at the bar??? I would have gladly sat in the dining room, but wasn't directed there. My server first was a female. She was very nice. Then a male came and said she had to do something else, and as he was saying it, she walked back in and went behind the bar. So, at this point, I'm wondering who my server is supposed to be?? As it was, I had to try and get their attention when I needed something which was tough. After my food had been served and almost gone, no one had come to my table to ask if everything was ok, but this one time when the male (Brian) was rushing by me, he asked how everything was in passing. This guy was nice, as was the girl, but he could use a lesson on how to be pleasantly friendly. Dough on my calzone was ok, but after heating it up in the air fryer at home, it was much much better. Needed to be cooked a bit more. Pizza was pretty good. Wedding soup NOT so much. Worst I've ever had. I don't carry much cash and use my debit card everywhere. When I start getting charged to use my card, which is NOT a charge card, I will stop going to that establishment. I hope that 4% is worth it for you to charge which is over the 3.5%. I thought it was part of a tip. Since the two slips had two different amounts, I questioned Brian and with his indifferent attitude informed me the servers don't get it, the owner does and it isn't part of their tip. Considering this could have been an off day. Since I'm a Florida resident not a snowbird, I hope to come back and try y'all again. Then I'll do...
Read moreEdit: Speaking with "management" wasn't an option only the chef. Burnt, Crack your teeth crust is not "New York" style. To accuse a customer of not being the first timer, well only the 2nd time ever being in your establishment, and as far as reviews, I have Many reviews. And the majority of them are fantastic and great. I do not just go around bashing businesses or companies. As far as my comment "dispute my charge", well heck, if you pay for something that bad, it should be. But I didn't. So please refrain from bashing customers. It shows true colors of how the business truly is. After reading many sites and complaints, I should have just chosen a better venue. Cleary you saw the items being thrown out by your staff, and a pepperoni pizza isn't a tough menu item, so "not my thing", is far from being true. You have the money, the food, and the lack of customer review service, so we can all agree to disagree to not be pleased, but just done. Also I do apologize it was Detroit style (I don't eat either so I don't really pay much attention.)
Service was good and friendly. Not sure I can agree with award winner of pizza. I ordered a small pepperoni for me. I should have taken a picture of the burnt placemat that was called a pizza. Lacked crust, not sure if it was even a quarter inch thick. Lacked sauce, dry as a sauceless pizza, think the pepperoni caused the tint of redness in the crust. They got the light cheese part correct however. But light everything else is an understatement. Hubby got a Chicago style, asked for sauce on it. Well, no sauce at all, he ate one slice. We refused a box, didn't even want to bother with us bringing it home to throw it away. And was still charged almost 60 bucks for having to find supper still. Almost want to dispute the bill with my bank, but do not want to wait on another card. Yes the waitress knew of our disappointment (2 pizzas going to waste) and said she spoke with the chef. I guess that means nothing now a days....
