As a customer of over 10+ years, ordering from this restaurant for pizza and various Italian food items, my wife and I have been disappointed the past three times. Each time we try to give them another chance. This time we ordered an XL Bella Napoli Special, and we added meatballs (for an extra $3.00). When the pizza was delivered, we did not originally notice meatballs on the pizza (look at picture for reference). We called and the person who answered said, “The people in the kitchen said they put meatballs on it.” First instance of mistrust. Then after looking more closely I found 3 meatballs, on the entire XL pizza which costs $3.00 extra. Then the person who cut the pizza got on the phone and said “I saw meatballs on your pizza. Our Italian Sausage curls when cooked and the meatballs are flat.” Second time they mistrust. Again, I told him “I see only 3 meatballs.” It went back and forth until he finally said they would remake it or refund us the $3.00? I said to refund the $3.00. He said he’d have to go through the company, “Slice”, they use for delivery for a refund. Still no refund. In the past two years or so, I find their customer service is declining and almost to the point of mistreatment of the customers. Not the first time of this over the phone mistreatment and mistrust. Employees make a mistake, it happens. I would not have called if there wasn’t a mistake. Edit* (additional info) The restaurant charged my card an additional $5.00 the day after. This was I’m assuming an attempt to refund the $3.00 with an additional $2.00. Then I get a call from Slice saying this was a mistake, they forgot to put a negative sign. Meanwhile my card is being charged again and I’m paying additional interest. Mistakes happen, but this seems like too many for one situation.

First time visit, we had a really pleasant waitress. She was able to provide some "local favorites" "popular dishes". So we tried for an appetizer the garlic knots. The knots were baked through well, with a golden bake. If you really enjoy butter they are lathered in butter and parmesean cheese enough for dipping the knots in as well as their house marinara sauce for dipping. We also ordered 2 pizzas. Both were "local favorites" "popular dishes". 1st pizza medium 14" (8 slices) Chicken Bacon Ranch, very rich, well blended flavors. Ingredients; chicken, bacon, mozarella cheese, white sauce with ranch seasoning...should of read a little better but that is how it tasted. I liked the chicken bacon ranch flavors best. 2nd pizza small 10" (6 slices) Bella Napoli Special, typical pizza flavors, marinara sauce cheese & meat. The sliced meatball flavor stood out and not sure I was as big a fan of the meatballs. Ingredients; pepperoni, sliced meatballs, italian sausage, green peppers, onions (omitted as we are not a fan of them), mushrooms, mozzarella, and marinara sauce. I think next time we would like to try their Margarita and Grandma's pizzas. For dessert the recommendation was the cannoli, mind you a good cannoli is just yummy! This was not the ultimate cannoli but it was a good flavored cannoli. We could of done without the chocolate chips on the end, but obviously that is just personal opinion.

Beautiful place, friendly smiling staff to greet you as you enter, awesome wait staff. Andy was very helpful! To start we ordered garlic knots, bruschetta & mozzarella sticks & everyone receives a crispy house bread! It’s like the Roman pizza without toppings. Very delicious! The garlic knots were cold, but good.. the bruschetta was different, I think it needed to marinate and it tasted like everything was placed on the bread raw with a drizzle of balsamic reduction. & the mozzarella sticks tasted like they were fried in old oil or the same oil as they fry fish. But The pizza was really good, we got a personal (8 slices) cheese pizza with the “ sweet sauce “ and it was so good! This really exceeded my expectations!! 10/10 recommend!! We also got a personal pepperoni pizza and this was so good! Both pizza could have been a little crispier for my liking but they were delicious! The pepperoni really had a lot of flavor, and both pizzas contrasted each-other nicely! We also ordered a Italian Philly cheesesteak roll, this was seasoned really well & had a nice flavor but could have been a little crispier. And to stay hydrated we had a crown and coke, and a Italian smoked old fashioned and a old fashioned with bullet, all of the drinks were really strong so if you like a strong drink it’s perfect for you; and the smoked old fashioned was really smokey and a little sweet, all worth the price.

I called in to order dinner like my wife and I always do every week and Jennifer answered the phone. Every week I pay for my order with my credit card including the tip over the phone. Apparently the manager wants to cut down on this at least that is what I was told inside the restaurant when I picked up my order, however when Jennifer was rushing me off the phone, I asked if I Could pay for this over the phone like I always do. She nastily said no and hung up. Food taste and quality aside, I don’t get treated like this at any of the chain restaurants in the area. EDIT: I bumped the review up to a 2. Also, shortly after my review posted, I received a call from the restaurant which I missed. A VM was left, and honestly, I deleted it without listening to it. I probably should have listened to it, but I’m just tired of the young people that work in there with little communication skills and unappreciative of their customers, and quite frankly, an apology or a discount on future food or whatever won’t change that. I tip them $6-$7 every week for a single pie order when really, the cooks should get it and not the spoiled kids that seem to always be hanging around the register not doing much. (at least any time I’m in there briefly). I’ve previously written an unflattering review and the owner Ava(sorry if the spelling is wrong) made a nice effort to make things right the next order, however I didn’t follow through on my next visit to let her know I was there. The phones are a BIG PROBLEM. The restaurant was closed the entire weekend of the 4th. When you called to place an order, the phone message said, unable to take your order, please call back in 30 minutes. Which I did. Got the same message. So I drove there only to find a sign on the door. Unbelievable, Do you really want to run a business or what? The kicker was when I called and sat on hold FOR 35 MINUTES waiting as the phone message hung at caller two. I walked into the restaurant with my phone in my hand still on hold and placed my order over the counter!!! I said I’m on hold here on my phone! The kid says, oh we don’t answer the phones and the person that knows about the phone system isn’t in tonight. I almost demanded to see the own then, but was afraid my wife would have to bail me out of jail. Food may be ok, but this place is screwed up and not worth my aggravation to...

Y'all need to go on FB and check out Charlotte County Eats to see some honest reviews from locals regarding Bella Napoli.

EDITING this because I'm not so sure the owner read my review properly. My experience was NOT UP TO PAR like the owner states. I didn't feel very welcomed throughout my dining experience.I merely mentioned I might try y'all again because it might have been an off day but from talking with others and your comment which did not address my situation at all, maybe not, and it's the norm.

This was my first time dining here. Walked in and after the young man stared at me for a few seconds, I asked if I had to be seated. He informed me that there were single high seats at the bar. I sat in the bar area, choosing a table, as workers eating at two of them, got up and left. Maybe I was supposed to sit at the bar??? I would have gladly sat in the dining room, but wasn't directed there. My server first was a female. She was very nice. Then a male came and said she had to do something else, and as he was saying it, she walked back in and went behind the bar. So, at this point, I'm wondering who my server is supposed to be?? As it was, I had to try and get their attention when I needed something which was tough. After my food had been served and almost gone, no one had come to my table to ask if everything was ok, but this one time when the male (Brian) was rushing by me, he asked how everything was in passing. This guy was nice, as was the girl, but he could use a lesson on how to be pleasantly friendly. Dough on my calzone was ok, but after heating it up in the air fryer at home, it was much much better. Needed to be cooked a bit more. Pizza was pretty good. Wedding soup NOT so much. Worst I've ever had. I don't carry much cash and use my debit card everywhere. When I start getting charged to use my card, which is NOT a charge card, I will stop going to that establishment. I hope that 4% is worth it for you to charge which is over the 3.5%. I thought it was part of a tip. Since the two slips had two different amounts, I questioned Brian and with his indifferent attitude informed me the servers don't get it, the owner does and it isn't part of their tip. Considering this could have been an off day. Since I'm a Florida resident not a snowbird, I hope to come back and try y'all again. Then I'll do...

Edit: Speaking with "management" wasn't an option only the chef. Burnt, Crack your teeth crust is not "New York" style. To accuse a customer of not being the first timer, well only the 2nd time ever being in your establishment, and as far as reviews, I have Many reviews. And the majority of them are fantastic and great. I do not just go around bashing businesses or companies. As far as my comment "dispute my charge", well heck, if you pay for something that bad, it should be. But I didn't. So please refrain from bashing customers. It shows true colors of how the business truly is. After reading many sites and complaints, I should have just chosen a better venue. Cleary you saw the items being thrown out by your staff, and a pepperoni pizza isn't a tough menu item, so "not my thing", is far from being true. You have the money, the food, and the lack of customer review service, so we can all agree to disagree to not be pleased, but just done. Also I do apologize it was Detroit style (I don't eat either so I don't really pay much attention.)

Service was good and friendly. Not sure I can agree with award winner of pizza. I ordered a small pepperoni for me. I should have taken a picture of the burnt placemat that was called a pizza. Lacked crust, not sure if it was even a quarter inch thick. Lacked sauce, dry as a sauceless pizza, think the pepperoni caused the tint of redness in the crust. They got the light cheese part correct however. But light everything else is an understatement. Hubby got a Chicago style, asked for sauce on it. Well, no sauce at all, he ate one slice. We refused a box, didn't even want to bother with us bringing it home to throw it away. And was still charged almost 60 bucks for having to find supper still. Almost want to dispute the bill with my bank, but do not want to wait on another card. Yes the waitress knew of our disappointment (2 pizzas going to waste) and said she spoke with the chef. I guess that means nothing now a days....
