Burger Bunker — Restaurant in Florida

I came here today, on the reopening, to try one of my favorite burgers in Auburndale. If you are wondering how it measures up, I will say that it tastes exactly the same.

Pros -Several items that did not taste good are gone. They are focusing on what really gives this place its reputation.

-This place continues to serve a fresh burger. Which is much better than most businesses that serve months old frozen meat. If you are trying to cut chemicals out of your food, this is much healthier.

-If you are looking for that exact same burger you remembered from early last year, you got it. Carbon copy, and it's good

-The new staff gets the job done quickly, so you will not be waiting long. They have the proper equipment and can do attitude now.

-Prices are affordable. Way cheaper than five guys, and about the same quality of burger.

Cons -Firstly, the fries after taste. They have not broken in the equipment yet. But that will improve over the week. So if you read this later this month, all good. Nothing to see here.

-The fry portion. The last owner used to shove fries down into the bag, kind of like five guys. Especially when a large fry was ordered. Here they only offer one size, but it's a smaller portion than before. I hope they increase the fries portion going forward.

-No new items. If anyone had expectations for something different to be added on the menu. I hope the burger bunker uses this limited menu as an opportunity to expand in its own unique way. New items, new generation. Excited to see if they do add anything. Maybe even put a new type of burger, with different dry rub, seasoning, BBQ. Or a buffalo chicken ranch sandwich. Something to spice it up.

Conclusion: I used to come by here regularly, about once every other week or so. I see myself doing the same again. It's a great burger to have. I really hope new items are added soon. It's a great value too. If you haven't tried it, I recommend coming in at the end...

I have to say I was very impressed. I had never been to burger bunker before my family purchased it. We decided to head over Friday evening after work and try it out and I have to say we were really impressed. And not just because we are family. I’ve seen the hard work and dedication my cousin and her husband has put into all their business and I knew this one would be no different. When we arrived the cars were lined up in the road. I was like dang this is either going to be really good or really bad LOL. A few minutes later we arrived at the window to order our food with Grayce. She was so sweet and cute as a button. We slowly rolled around to the other pick up window and got our food. Y’all for as many cars that were in line it only took 10 mins!!!! And yall know that McDonald’s can take longer than that for some fake a$$ food. Literally 10mins. There were atleast 14 cars ahead of us. We were a party of 4. We ordered 3 burgers 1 Philly 4 fries and 4 milkshakes. When I say the milkshakes were brining the boys to the yard I ain’t lyin bc I’m Not a huge strawberry milkshake fan 🍓🥤 but lordt if I wasn’t married they would have been lined up 😅 my burger was so big that my 5 year old and I could have shared a whole meal. All fast food joints take note! Learn from Burger Bunker- excellent price, flavor and customer service.

Judge for yourself the size of a single patty burger. 6 inches diameter on the brioche bun size. Smothered with thick all beef patty and smothered with big leafy lettuce, non- shredded, big slices of tomatoes and dollop of sauce. The entire thickness or height of the burger is over 4 inches! Price...only $3.75!! Top that McDonald, BK etc.

The breakfast Bun is not just a bun. It's the entire breakfast plate packed inside a brioche bun! This is even crazier. Brioche Bunker encasing a sausage patty, an egg, big slices of tomatoes and layered with 3 atrios of thick, not thin, bacon strips! Only $3.95!! The thickness is over 5 inches! Find such breakfast sandwich from other joint at such price, less than $4.

The place is a drive thru with few sit-down tables outside. Most patrons eat in their cars.

Definitely the best burger and breakfast sandwiches. Can't wait to try other items. Definitely recommend...
