The only reason it is still open is the lack of restaurants in the area. Thankfully, that is changing. I've eaten there a couple of times and all were underwhelming. The day waitress is awful with a constant sour look on her face. She knows we work a few doors down but could care less. It's like we should be honored that she even speaks to us. As a former restaurant worker, I'm a $5+ tipper...even when my order is under $10. I tipped the bare minimum here.
Unfortunately, our vendors have taken us here (within walking distance of our office) so I cannot be rude and say, "no." The last time I ate there, my last bite had a long black hair under my chimichanga...I'm a blonde. I about gagged in front of our vendor. A few months later, our office catered in lunch from here. I avoided everything but thought that chips and guac would be safe. Again, another long black hair in the guac.
One last time, my officemates and I met up after work on a holiday eve. I ordered the Sangria. It came with literally canned fruit cocktail at the bottom of the glass. I get they don't have a liquor licence but you can still buy fresh fruit to justify the prices.
I would rather drive across town that eat...
Read moreGo somewhere else. My wife and I decided to give this place a try and we both wish we hadn't. I'll try to illustrate why in chronological order. Water tasted like the taps haven't been cleaned in years. Chips were overcooked, both salsas had a weird aftertaste. We both ordered simple entrees with rice. We waited about 25 minutes for our food to come out without rice. We were told it was "right behind" and after another 10 minutes I got up to go find our server and saw him out front talking with some other staff members. I asked where our rice was and he acted surprised. He asked the kitchen where it was and then handed me a single side of rice. I reminded him we both got a side. My rice came out minutes later. We waited all of that time and the food was not good. Just bland flavors and gross textures. Now, we went on a Saturday night and I'd understand waiting the time we waited if it was packed. We were one of three tables there. One of three! There is simply no excuse for the experience besides a lack of effort. I was clearly disappointed with the experience and not once did anybody offer to help or ask if they could do anything. We will...
Read moreI'd like to say up front that the only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the queso dip platter. Other than that, this entire dining experience SUCKED. We sat 15 min without a drink. There were only 2 servers who seemed to have no idea how to be a server. The food was not good, at all. Overpriced and gross. The service was absolutely garbage. I even had to go look for and locate my own take out containers for the leftovers that weren't worth taking home. Had to go up to the cash register to get and pay my bill. Then was overcharged for the food I received. After customers left the tables weren't even cleaned off. I have never, ever had such a horrible and overpriced dining experience in my life. Go check out my other reviews and you will see I have never left one this bad. I used to be a server, so I cut people slack where slack is due. None was due here. Overall, I believe this would be a good place to start a restaurant. Maybe they were just having an off day. 🤷♀️ but I was severely disappointed and will absolutely never return.
