New update:tried the food again and when I walked in I hear the woman who answered the phone for the order mocking another customer. The food was awful and again we threw it away. At this point we will try another place. What I thought was friendly (and hoping was genuine) was a faux. It’s unfortunate but fake and it tastes awful- leaves a bad impression and a bad taste in our mouth. 🤮We’re out!
Updated: she did explain it comes spicy so for those like us that order sesame chicken or orange chicken as a favorite, it can be ordered not fried and not spicy! Hot dog! We’re in!
Ordered food Monday and picked it up. They were super friendly and made me want to come back. Once we got home and opened it up it looked great. We are the first bite and the sesame chicken was the spiciest food we had ever eaten. Sesame chicken is never spicy! We threw it away and called the place but it was late so I left a voicemail and it is now Thursday and still have not heard a word. If the service on the back end was as good on the first end this review would have had 4 stars but I haven’t had that experience. $40 in the garbage and still...
Read moreI just had a disturbing experience with Chopsticks. After a long day I called to order takeout at 8:50 which is apparently 10 minutes before they close. The employee asked if I could be there in 10 minutes since she insisted they needed to close on time (which I get). I said I would be there in 1-2 minutes since I live around the corner. She then asked for my phone number and if I would pay over the phone. Do people prank order food late at night??? I obviously had alarm bells going off, but before I could reply I heard yelling from the back of the room. The employee then told me I was a new customer (I'm not) and the boss said I would not be served that late at night. She then hung up. I never argued with her, but this is a bizarre and offensive way to treat customers. Tomorrow, I will be by to let them know why this REGULAR customer will find somewhere else to get Chinese. (At least for a while - I love me some Chinese). I guess the only new thing is that I don't typically call in my order, I always go in person. Disappointed and Hungry. Maybe...
Read more10 years ago, the food was exceptional. It was fresh, not greasy, and the quality of the meat actually tasted like beef & chicken. During 2021, the quality of the food was bad, very greasy, horrible taste. We thought by now, October 2023, the quality of the food would be restored to what it was 8/10 years ago. Today, the interior of restaurant smells like years of old grease built up on floor & walls. Everything in our order tasted like Crisco oil and the chicken on a stick looks like it came from a rat. The beef & broccoli: the meat did not look or feel like it was beef. It sort of resembled duck or kitty cat meat. My son decided to order beef chop suey. Disgusting! The so called beef look like small animal livers, hearts, reproductive parts, etc. 30 min later, my son is having the first signs of food poisoning. 10 yrs ago, we paid $45. Now it costs $70. The cleanliness of the dining area is questionable, which tells me the environment of the kitchen must be just as bad. We will no longer be returning to Chopsticks.
Deeply...
