This place was a NO for me. Read all the great reviews but that was not my experience. This is a CASH ONLY restaurant, which was printed on only one of the two menus given to us when we were seated. After I inquired, the waitress explained they had not gotten around to adding it to all the menus yet. I had to leave the restaurant and drive to an ATM because the "ATM" in their lobby was out of cash. When we were discussing our order with the waitress she told us a story about a grandmother who had to gum her food after dental work and that's why a certain dish on the menu was named after the grandmother. Read moreWe will not be returning. This used to be a place where we made sure to stop for the best Crab Cakes. Reasons: The crab cakes are now round with more filler. We had to ask for the three side salad. The salads we're not served together. Poor service. Why not use a tray to bring out beverages. The quality of the food simply I'd poor for the high prices. By the way, in the past we highly recommended the Cracker Box to family...
Read moreSmall family run roadside cash only eatery featuring home cooked appetizers, salads, burgers and a few plated entrees. Service was slow and a little forgetful as we had to ask three times to get a beer and the wrong sides were served. Food as served was OK but not great with overcooked burgers, hush puppies and potatoes on the entrees. A limited choice of non-craft beers and a small wine list is offered. A couple of guys on guitars made some nice but albeit a little loud tunes. Best suggestion is to go for the music and appetizers and brews and...
