Culver's burgers are nothing like McD's or BK's. They aren't even like Steak N Shake's. They are pretty close to the size of a homemade burger, but a hell of a lot less messy, and maybe better tasting too. I'd say they are comparable to a Wendy's in looks, but more of a homemade taste. To put it more simply, they actually look like the pictures that those other guy's show in their advertisements. As far as which one I recommend, I say go for the "Butter Burger." That's all I get everytine. Even the rest of the family primarily choose that one. It's a beef patty made from sirloin, chuck, and plate cuts on a buttered and toasted bun. It comes with ketchup, mustard, red onion, and pickles, or you can add or minus it however you like. I'd say it better than most restaurant burgers, restaurants on the level of Chili's or Apple Bees.
For reference I attached a pic of an Ultimate Butter Burger. Although I usually just get the single patty one with small fries. That order is filling enough for me and I'm a 178 lb man.
BTW, the price of the single is somewhere around $4 without bacon. I don't remember the exact amount each, that's because I always order 3 and a large fries (which they are pretty good too, although last time they had way too much salt), for the whole family. With no drinks that comes to around $17's. Which isn't bad in today's...
Read moreMe and my family have a love-hate relationship with Culver's. The food tends to be good for the price, and I'd eat a Culver's burger or chicken sandwich over McD's any day of the week. The problem lies in the service. It's amateur hour all around. I do not recommend ordering "curdside" pickup at any point. If you order takeout, make sure to go inside to verify the order with the employees.
I have been given orders missing drinks, missing sides, missing custard. On this latest order I requested one of the chicken sandwiches without lettuce, without pickles, without tomatoes. Yes, my son is picky. The sandwich had all of the items I had requested to be removed. This order was also missing my onion rings side and my daughter's drink. Sometimes I take the time to check every item and go back in to get it fixed but I really shouldn't have to be so paranoid about it.
I keep ordering from them because my kids absolutely love Culver's, but I personally dread dealing with all the mistakes that they make. They get 2 stars for service because the managers are really great about it, but it shouldn't really be...
Read moreSuch a wonderful and kind group of people who work here! I have been here twice and each time I have had phenomenal cursive service! I am greeted before I am in the door by a team member who is bringing food out to a car and they hold the door for me and greet me. Then I am greeted again when inside. The butter burger instantly takes you to a backyard BBQ, The fish sandwich is SO good! It melts in your mouth and so moist! And don't get me started with the concrete! It's so thick, forget the straw, a spoon is a must! There is a gluten-free bun. They serve your sandwich deconstructed, with the bun still in the plastic wrapper, but the bun has been warmed. It's super soft and not crumbly or dry. I ate in the restaurant so I don't know what the roll is like if you take it home and then eat it. I knew the shelf life of heated gluten-free bread can change the consistency of it. Culver's...
