I have to say that as far as large chain pizza places go, I would have to put Marcos at the top. Their crust is good on its own, but when you add the free crust toppers, it really puts Marcos above the rest. Their sauce is also a huge boost over the others. The toppings are very good and they provide a nice selection, however, I would really like to see a spicy Italian sausage available. Their meatballs are surprisingly good and make for an excellent sub as well as a pizza topping. Their salads are pretty big and very fresh with a good selection of dressings. The wings and boneless wings need to be crispier but that's true of a lot of places especially when they're delivered. It's what we've all come to expect from delivered wings. There are a few tables where you could sit and eat but unless you go during the off hours you might find it uncomfortable with people standing in line and standing around waiting for their pizzas and you're trying to eat right next to them. The owner and a couple of people who have been there for a while are very nice to deal with. Most of the crew, that turns over often, do not even say thank you when you put a large tip in the jar for them. However, I find this to be true of most crew's in large chain places. Sad but true. This particular store runs specials all the time and it's significantly less if you can pick up your food instead of...
Read moreI’ve ordered Marcos a bunch since moving to Connerton nearly three years ago. Today was the first time I’ve ever felt the need to call in about pizza that seemed undercooked. I ended up speaking with “Sam” who works there “twice a week”. This guy could use some customer service training for whatever position he is in. I explained my concerns, not asking for anything, and there was zero acknowledgement aside from the pizza maybe having too many toppings (Ultimate Magnifico). He proceeds to ask me what I want which is a super weird way to handle it. I asked if a credit for next time would be possible, then he asks “a credit for how much?”. Man, what an awkward position to put your customer in. I’m an honest guy, I rarely complain anywhere I go because I get that shit happens, but that’s just a terrible way to handle it. I suggested he determine what’s fair since he is the manager or supervisor. He asked “$10?” It’s a $14 pizza that I paid $5.79 or whatever to get delivered less than 2 miles… Anyways, no apology, no acknowledgement. Maybe he is desensitized to those kind of calls, but an ounce of empathy goes a long way. Not everyone is trying to take...
Read moreIt is difficult being a senior citizen and treated like you have no value, but on July 8 I ordered and paid, tip included, online and upon being notified my order was ready, went to pick it up. Upon arrival I was told that since it was not on the rack it must be in the oven. 10 minutes later another employee asks if I need help and again I say I am here to pick up my order and again am told it must still be baking. 15 minutes later another employee determines that they must have given my order to a delivery person by mistake. I asked for a refund and was refused and was told I would get my order when the delivery person brought it back. This employee said he did not care if I left a bad review as he was only a "part time delivery man". Congratulations to the manager for leaving his business in the care of someone that does not care about your business. I'll take my business elsewhere, but I doubt if Marco's cares. 45 minutes after my arrival I am handed cold pizza and warm salad to take home. They delivery person finally returned with my order. At 78 years old it is hard to argue with people that...
