Culver’s — Restaurant in Florida

Pulled up at 7:50 pm on a Saturday night, to get a concrete mixer. Lobby was closed, but flashing sign out side says they are open 11:00 am to 8:00 pm, I then call and they answer stammering that they are open to 8:00pm , but their lobby closes at 7:00pm. Ok... Then went through drive in, and was instantly told they were out of vanilla custard, no biggie, I ordered a chocolate with peanut butter cups, caramel. When we finally got to the window, I could see my concrete mixer sitting on the counter, as the girl who was manning the window, fixed drinks and just talking to other employees, while ignoring me. After sitting there at the window for more than 5 minutes, she sarcastically says sorry for the wait, and ask if I needed more napkins. I said no, drove off and started eating the concrete mixer, first it had the consistency of a melted shake, and had zero caramel and zero peanut butter cups. This Culver’s has been open less than 6 months, and it is by far the worse one I have Eve been to. Go to the Culver’s in Destin instead. UPDATE: The owner Honey Smith called me, and basically blamed a shortage of staff on the fact, that the lobby closed at 7:00pm, instead of 8:00pm. Technically the lobby isn't even open for dine in, all you can do is go in and order to go. I didn't even get to address with Mrs Smith, the biggest problem, the mixer being completely made wrong. But Mrs Smith, didn't act like she wanted to do anything but make excuses, because this store and her Navarre store are short staffed. So I will not go to this location or the one in Navarre now, just got to the location or Destin or Pensacola, where I have never...

This is the worst Culvers I've ever been to. Please don't judge the brand based on this store! It needs to be fixed so badly!

Growing up in Wisconsin, Culver’s has always had a special place in our hearts. Now living in Florida, we were thrilled to see Culver’s open locally. Unfortunately, this location has been a consistent letdown.

We’ve given this store four separate chances, each worse than the last:

Visit One: Sat stuck in the drive-through for 20+ minutes despite a full staff visibly on shift. We left before even paying.

Visit Two: Took food home. The entire order was wrong.

Visit Three: Ordered delivery through DoorDash. It took over 90 minutes, and everything that arrived was inedible.

Visit Four (Today): Stopped in for pints of ice cream. The freezer was full of outdated product with frostbite. When we asked about fresh flavors, staff gave no clear answers, went back and forth, and eventually brought out two more frostbitten pints from the back.

This isn’t about one bad day or an occasional mistake. This is a pattern of poor operations, lack of accountability, and a total failure to represent what Culver’s is supposed to stand for.

As lifelong Culver’s customers, it’s frustrating to see a brand we care about run this poorly. We hope someone in leadership takes this seriously. A full audit, staff retraining, or management review is overdue. If this were my store, I’d be reevaluating things from top to bottom.

Fort Walton Beach location has the absolute worst customer service. The wait time is horrible and they are rude and always trying to stop taking cars early so that they can get out by 10 instead of closing at 10. I just passed by there as a Matt of fact and the cones are already out and it's 9:55. They stay turning around cars and losing money I'd definitely find better help because I'm sure you are losing more money than you are making. So we get in the line at around 9:50 and here comes a worker and she throws a cone in front of the car that's in front of us and walks away without saying a word. I'm thinking to myself what is she doing. Anyway the car in front of us can't go anywhere because we are behind them and cars are in front of them. They run the cone over and make it to the window and I hear we are not taking anymore orders. I'm like that's messed up I know if we got there at 9:50 they were there longer. Instead of just putting the cones behind the us which were the last 2 cars for the night that had been waiting in line she chose to be a rude and didn't care about customer service at all. We also knew someone that was at the window and they called us and said hey man they laughing at y'all in here at the window talking about how they weren't servicing the last 2 cars and we're getting out of there.
