Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Florida

I work within 10 mins of here and it's 1 of only 3 fast food places I can choose for my 1 hr lunch. I've been here 3x over the last 6 months therefore my review is not about 1 time in particular but a cluster of experiences. They never have enough staff. Which tell me, poor franchise ownership. The staff they do have are overworked and burnt out but they try so hard and smile and offer the help they can. From the time I ordered until I got my food via dine-in. Was 25-35 minutes. I've had to take it with me on my commute back to the office and eat it in the car. A co-worker of mine has had the same issue, long delivery times. If I ask for additional items like gravy or extra items they are almost always left out because the staff are so bombarded with customers. The food is always hot and tastes good but I don't have 30 mins to wait for food. Excellent job to the employees that are physically there weekly. To the franchise owner, step up your game. Of all the fast food restaurants there are, this is the one we got on the west end. If it wasn’t for the blizzards I wouldn’t ever go, and don’t very often. Wait times are always horrible. Milk shakes to thin. And the prices, you would think they were putting gold flakes in your blizzards. Even though they are right down the street many locals have gave up on them. They evidently want pay enough to get good people working there, although I guess the people are doing the best they can with the constant stream of people that are constantly there waiting. The place has got to be making a lot of money. How about paying enough to get the people you need to run it properly. The only reason you got 2 stars was because the blizzards are very good. I won’t be going back. This used to be a great and convenient quick-stop restaurant for those of us who live and work on the west end. Not anymore! Drive thru wait times are so long that I’ve left before and/or after ordering. If I sit there for ten minutes and the line hasn’t moved, I’m leaving. I only get a thirty minute lunch break. The last two times I did manage to get my order, it was not right. The first time, the wrong sauce was sent, and the food was cold. The second time, the kid’s meal was supposed to come with a vanilla ice cream cone, but I was given a vanilla ice cream cup. Also, the chicken strip sandwich had no tomato or condiments on it. Just bread, lettuce, and chicken. Not to mention, that order was over $16.
